Online poker

I got a VPN, logged onto a Las Vegas server and it's still telling me "your location and current regulations don't allow you to play for cash."

Google keywords "online poker VPN" and spend some time learning about it. I just checked a couple discussion forums threads and the general consensus is that its possible but most likely not a wise idea.

Any tips?

I had a few other people who were very successful and we all were very different stylistically. I was the most conservative. I woulda love to say i'm really cool and was hyper aggressive lol but I only did that vs 1vs1 which was actually somehow my specialty even though everything else i did was close to the vest.

I mean theres no tips I can give you. and from what I understand American poker is totally dead. and europeans play a lot more tight which sucks that's just the last I heard years ago.

for me... big tournaments. and I play boring as fuck. I survive. I just want myself in there and when blinds get high cool I'll do the desperation all ins.

but I don't know what players are like these days. I don't know if it requires more aggression.

How long you been playing online?
I've just been playing for a few months doing micro tables but I have some basic fundamentals down that I learned from reading a few online beginners guides. Thinking of making a deposit to try out the $.50/$1 or $1/$2 tables I think its probably $50 or something to buy in.

.25-.50 is a $50 buy in.

Probably about a year on the website now. It’s okay. I still think the website is kinda shady though

Man this is a huge let down. I was really looking forward to playing.

Did you read about it? What state are you in?
I know WSOP is preferred but if you want to play a little poker online for cash try the other website I mentioned. If not I'm sure you can find another that you can play on.

TS there are other sites like bovada and america's cardroom. among a few others

I personally don't use VPN for sportsbetting ag so I'm not able to help with that as much as I'd like to however hopefully others can.
It sounds a little risky if you get caught and they ban you and keep the funds so you might want to do some research and get some guidance before you make any deposits.
I had a similar issue as you except with Bovada and since I'm in CA and couldn't deposit so I went with SB.ag and have no issues and have made withdrawals.
Does sportsbetting ag have Texas hold em?

Of course. If you do end up signing up there make sure to use one of their promotions. They have some good ones for sports as well if you're into that.
If you decide to sign up send me your info for a referral code and I will split the bonus with you, if you want.
Either way if you have any questions let me know - good luck!

People at the same table work together.

That makes sense. I've read people's comments in chat at SB calling other players at the table bots as well lol. I wouldn't be surprised if its rigged since you'd never know unlike live tables. Moving seats might make things more difficult for either if they were though, if it was an option.

I want to try my hand at poker online. I played all the time back in the service and I know enough about Texas hold em that I can make some extra coin doing it. I'm not greedy and I know when to fold.

I downloaded the WSOP real money app but it won't let me play because poker is illegal in my state of residence. How do I circumvent this bullshit?

I know some of you tech gurus can help me help myself relive some money from these online dens of scum and villianary.

Thanks in advance.
I guess it depends what site you're playing on but I dont think the average player has much of an edge, even against a table of fish. Theres too many people flat calling everything, even at the bigger stakes up to 2/4$. Too much variance and too easy to donk off $$ when you're on tilt. If you're going to play online I would say avoid cash and play some nice tournaments.

This. You don’t need a VPN. America’s cardroom is pretty decent. There are an unknown number of bots on there, but they’re fairly obvious, and ACR does make an effort of trying to combat them. Haven’t played on Bovada in a while, mostly because I run a HUD, but I believe it’s still a decent American facing site.

I'll definitely be playing the $1, $2.

I'm no daniel negroune but like I said, I know when to fold and come back another day.
I’d seriously reconsider playing $1/$2 online. The levels online are a different game than live, and also the hourly rate can be very different. At a casino, $1/$2 is obviously going to be the lowest limit available and easiest game available. Online, due to your ability to multi-table, this level has significantly better competition. You have guys running 6-10 tables at this level, and they’re not fish either. They’re running HUDs, and if you’re a decent casual player, you’re going to get run over.

I’d recommend starting in the micros till you get a feel for the pace and gameplay online, then start multi tabling and moving up levels once you’ve “beaten” the level you’re at. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

Definitely not the case. If there were really people flat calling everything that would be amazing, and incredibly easy to sit there and cash out like an ATM. Don’t know what you mean by too easy to donk off when you’re on tilt. If you’re the type that’s going to go on tilt easily and spew your chips to the other players, that’s a player skill issue.

I think a lot of people have the impression that making money online is easy $, it isn't. There are a very few people who are up lifetime online. The average player isn't going to do well in the long run. Especially if you're just looking to play some cards online and dont use a HUD.

Would definitely agree with this. If you’re not planning on studying, putting in the work, analyzing your leaks, and keeping up with trends, you’re going to be neg EV long term.
