PBP ONE Championship 'LIGHTS OUT', Fri. Mar. 11, 6:00 AM ET/3:00 AM PT PBP Discussion Thread

LOL, leg locking doesn't work when your opponent can punch you in the face
Also when your opponent has been training for nearly a decade with one of the most prolific leglock guys in MMA/BJJ.

Just got done watching the event, I knew this even before tonight but Lineker has unhuman punching power for a bantamweight.
Like you could clearly hear most of the power punches, imagine if this guy kept his power proportionally and was a bigger size, probably one of the hardest hitter p4p i've seen in MMA.

He also throws insanely wide and pretty wild. Hard hitter but very flawed one.

Kind of insane that Dana passed on him on the contender series but signed bums like Juan Adams, smh.

All worked out for the better for Le though.
Would be cool to see how he would do against the elites in the UFC

The more he wins the more it would be interesting but he is 36 now

Fernandes/Lineker was quite a fight. The moment a rocked Bibi stood his ground and struck Lineker right back was very impressive, but ultimately it was too much.

It sucks that Lineker's title shot kept getting turned down cause the damn guy couldn't make weight, like the night he beat McCall.

Demetrious Johnson vs. John Lineker would have been awesome.

Honestly, that probably would have looked like John vs Dillashaw.

Happy to see bibiano lose. Dude never really wanted to fight the best in the world. Was always just interested in making the most money possible fighting overmatched opponents.
Could see it in this fight came in overweight, absolutly juiced out of his mind. Dude can only fight as the hammer. Once he is the nail starts to wilt pretty quickly.
Also he has been very unsportsmanlike in many of his fights. Even this fight was elbowing linekar when he was putting in his gum shield.

Eh...he gave him time to put in his mouth piece but he kept flubbing it. It's a fight, the guy shouldn't have even put it in his mouth without the ref stopping them.

I said that is just one example. He has done it in many fights. Like in the kevin belingdon fight when he said he couldn't continue because of elbows to the back of the head. Just happened to coincide with him starting to gas. Then in the next fight elbowed kevin in the back of the head a number of times.

It's prize fighting. The UFC couldn't afford Bibiano's services, and so he got paid what he was worth.

The UFC tried to guilt him by announcing a fight for him before even having him sign the dotted line: https://www.espn.com/mma/story/_/id...des-says-lack-contract-reason-ufc-149-removal

The best fighters want to get fight the best and get paid well. Bibiano just wanted to get paid well. So now he just got knocked out by the second ufc fighter he has ever faced. The first being uriah faber who also knocked him out.
