The counter to British/Western fighters swinging power shots from the first bell is those nasty elbows. Unfortunately for Haggerty he was up against one of the best if not the best elbow merchant in sport.

It's faster to deliver an elbow to your opponents face with your elbows already up in a guarded position than swinging from the hip to try and land a punch. Which also opens up your defence as you are trying to land it. It's the hard counter to these boxing heavy fighters. The Scottish juiced up guy KOing everyone is going to find this out as soon as he steps up a level.

Superlek is just really great at like, everything. It's honestly kinda weird

Great win for superlek. He is on some streak of wins. I think Nico should have to fight shadow or Nabil to get the fight with superlek. Should at least fight once being the same size or smaller man. I think both are tough fights for him.

Yeah Nabil got beaten by Superlek not Nico and that was at 135 pounds.
Nico has a great resume mainly beating up blown up 135 pounders.
Now im not saying Nico isn't a very skilled fighter he clearly is. But Nong-o hit him clean on the chin and it didn't faze him. You can't do that with true 145 pounders.
I actually think Nabil at 145 pounds would be a very difficult fight for superlek aswell as Nico. We saw how strong he was against kulabdam and he is 6ft4 for christ sake.
