Honestly though....this fight was very revealing. Khabib had to conserve energy for 2 of five rounds and box with freaking Iaquinta.

Makes you think what Tony or hell, even Max would have done to him.

They are both as good, if not better at TD defense, and both have more offensive games off their backs.

Al stalked looking for the big shot the entire fight instead of moving his head, and setting up his punches; as well as using more combinations.

Both Ferguson, and Holloway would have done much better on their feet.

Khabib looked absolutely terrible on his feet. He could land the jab because Al didn't care to move his head. It shows that All needs more work on his overall boxing game.

I think Conor wrecks him.

Al is known for blocking punches with his face, but it's more of a toughness thing rather than a lack of defensive skill thing. He's an excellent boxer...but New York kids like Ragin Al often sacrifice a bit of fight IQ to display toughness.
 
Khabib won 50-43 and 50-44 on the scorecards. It doesn't get more dominant than that

He looked bad on his feet.. but he still dominated on his feet. Fergie may be able to defend takedowns late in thebfight and beat khabib.. but holloway gets ragged dolled easily.. love max but hes way to weak and lanky.

I think Khabib was taking it a little easy on him, it was clear he could fully embarrass him. This was an entertaining fight and I think he was having fun.

Chad Mendes took Conor down and beat him up for two rounds. You're delusional if you think Conor doesn't get absolutely fucking mauled by Khabib.

Points don't mean shit. It's the overall make-up of the fight that you cast your judgments from; not points scored. Some of the ways points are scored have no significant impact on the fight, and they're all subjective in terms of what is considered to be a better strike than another.

Al's overall boxing is better than Conors. Not max, but iaquinta has legit boxing. Khabib would work conor over easily. Holloway would be a closer fight for sure.
