...but the stats don't lie. O'malley was piecing up the best striker we have seen in BW history on the feet. Yan did have a few good shots but in the third round, O'malleys strike difference with Yan was pretty outstanding. Even if Yan had won, O'malleys stock has risen considerably as he literally went toe to toe with arguably the best BW in the world. at the very least imo, he deserves to be thought of as top 5 right now.

Stats always lie in MMA.

Sean landing a single jab, and Yan landing that huge counter that nearly knocked O'Malley unconscious in round 2 are technically both considered one significant strike each on paper.

here's a stat for you
can you guess what fighter was on the left?

This is factually incorrect.

Only 7 of the 91 strikes landed by Sean O'Malley were considered "non-significant" strikes.

Out of those strikes, 63 were head shots, the vast majority of those were jabs.
Oop. Looks like I misread! Thanks for clarification

Lol. Good job by you.

This guy is always on his high horse or calling someone out.

Six strikes landed in six minutes of control time. No submission attempts, no real passing. He did nothing with the time. He did get outstuck by damn near thirty despite the control time though.
many of those strikes were pawing jabs that did absolutely nothing
the entire point is that if you look at the CONTROL time it's misleading, just like the sig strikes

You sure like accusing others of being low IQ, a tad ironic coming from somebody who can't even read.
And you sure are crying about a fight that was, at worst, close.
Did you lose money? Just a big fan? What is it?
