Media O'Malley practicing the KO in the locker room & camp

Yer being a douche. OP never claimed to be amazed, just posting a clip of a fighter practicing the exact technique he used to finish the biggest fight of his career (and the night). No foul detected.

I made a little joke.

If you or anyone else caught feelings about it, that's on you.
<{cum@me}>

Some cool behind the scenes footage of him. Nice to see him chilling afterwards & enjoying his handywork.

Pull back counter has to be one of the most common things that every striker practices.

Bruh. Fanboys can’t leave it as a great performance and spectacular punch. They have to make up shit. It’s literally a normal part of his arsenal. One you can see displayed in every fight.

BREAKING NEWS:

STRIKER PRACTICES RIGHT CROSS!!!

You mean to tell me he used a technique that he's had success using in his previous fights?

No way.

<{you!}>

TS is getting wrecked, lol.

This is the kind of thing that happens when you post strictly for engagement purposes.

I guess we were supposed to think that "OMG he can see the future! He's Mistic Mac 2.0!!", when in reality, he just did what he usually does in that fight context.

He was gotten to as well. The gif he posted gave it away. Hilarious.

Actually, like a normal person, I simply thought it was cool to see.

Unlike you guys.

Sean O Malley has exceptional footwork, timing, range management and accuracy. That was a damn near perfect counter and pretty crazy that he hit it so clean and did so moving back and just barely evading a strike at the same time.
That’ll all go out the window when his legs get chewed up again.
His attributes and career trajectory is uncanny to McNuggets when he was on the rise, just with an earlier leg injury loss. Timing, precision, speed, and the ability dodge tough challenges until the Yan win that he was handed (2 week camp Mendes).
The UFC was expecting O’Malley to walk through Chito when they face each other.

He’ll get the cover of UFC 5 (we assumed he would with a win), launch his own brand of weed, box Maywether, punch an old man at a bar, have a successful title defence.

He won’t attempt to be 2x division champ as there’s no way he is confident enough to fight Volkanovski, Holloway etc.

Side note -
I wonder if he’ll allow the guys he lets fuck his wife wear the belt. They’re the real champions.

Dude said it was common. You got upset and told him to go fuck himself, lol.

Cause he was being a Negative Nancy. Like you are.

Be sure to bring your losing Sterling betslips with you to the Negative Nancy Club. That's the entry ticket.

If you've watched UFC countdowns where O'Malley is fighting or if you've seen any other O'Malley fight, you've seen this already.

What's so cool about it this time?

Haha ya'll are haters. Yes this is a common technique, kinda like the Usman or Dustin KO's. Or even Conor's or Jorge's epic KO's against Aldo and Ben it isn't like they reinvented the wheel. But I always find it awesome to see a fighter find a gameplan move he wants to use and see him use it in real time in a real fight. Sean probably knows 100 different ways to throw punches but this one is his bread and butter and his execution, timing, etc. was as perfect as it could be in the fight as he had done it on mitts. That's sweet to see.

Fuck me for enjoying someone actually pulling off what they wanted to at the highest level.

BREAKING: PEOPLE HAVE OPINIONS THAT MIGHT BE DIFFERENT THAN YOURS, doesn't make anyone negative or a hater.

Even if OP meant well and just giving us a fun discussion point, it's hard to not attack it when we always see people posting "Mark my words! I'm a genius!" or claiming a fighter can see the future and is the greatest of all time of all time forever ever because they were right one time about something they said. It's conditioned some of us to push back.

It was an ugly sequence ruined by aljamain amateur level striking. This was like the 4th grade sped class version of Spence vs crawford except all it took to disarm aljo and get him reaching was to turn your shoulders at him a bunch lmao.

Living up to enormous hype is quite the challenge.

Getting to the single chair on top of the mountain is damn near impossible and staying there is even harder.

I'm not sure what OMalley could even do to live up to the hype.

Conor took out a 9 year undefeated champ with iirc 7 UFC title defenses and 3 WEC title defenses ... in 13 seconds.

That is insane.
Where do you go from there?

Conor tried to top the untoppable and aside from winning his fairly gifted 155 title shot has had a rough go of it trying to compete above 145, where he was in fact legitimately elite.

He made a lot of money.
Also he seems to have gone a bit insane or at least seems to be losing the battle with substances and decision making.

It will be hard for OMalley to hold that belt for long, but at what point is it good enough?

He beat a guy TJ Dillashaw, Henry Cejudo, Petr Yan and Cory Sandhagen failed to beat. Took a belt off a champ with 3 title defenses and a 24-3 record against pretty damn high competition.

I think Sean can defend against Chito, or maybe Henry or an Aljo rematch.

Merab and Cory Sandhagen would be very difficult title defenses for him to pull off.

he also practiced a bunch of punches and kicks which didn't knock Aljo down

you can make anything look special if you just don't show all the nons

just how the news makes people feel like it's constant chaos and violence by only talking about chaos and violence and not having 1 million stories a day like 'this guy helped an old lady across the road and none of these students shot up the school today!', reality would feel a bit different for folk if they did

he literally invented punching a guy in the face during a fight to win
it's unbelievable
