Media O'Malley comes to embarrassing realization about appearance

I'm not pretending that, he's had some nice performances but if we're being honest he's only got ONE highlight reel KO over a notable opponent and that was the Sterling fight, the rest were vs absolute cans. In fact the Sterling knockout was his only finish in his last 6 fights.

But anyway I don't deny that he's a good fighter with a fan friendly style, but like I said there are dozens of better and more exciting fighters who never got that kind of push from the UFC because they didn't have his gimmick.

My point is it doesn't matter if his opponents are notable are not. Keep winning like he was and you're getting pushed, regardless of your weird hair or gimmick.

Suga getting pushed wasn't anything special. Look at guys like Talbott and Wellmaker in comparison.

Suga had 4 fights with the last 2 being great finishes, then got his big push fight against Chito, which he lost. Then they gave him a bounce back fight against Thomas to put him back on track.

Talbott had 3 fights, then they gave him Barcelos as his first real push fight, which he lost. He's fighting Lima next. He wins that and he's back on the up and up fast.

Wellmaker has brutally KOd his last two in the first round.

Talbott would have been pushed hard had he beaten Barcelos. Wellmaker is getting his big push fight either next fight or the one after that. If he keeps winning, the dude is going places fast.

You say there's dozens of better and more exciting fighters that never got that push, but go and look at the top 25 BWs on Tapology right now and you'll see what the UFC are looking for. In the top 50, Wellmaker is the only one who has 2 KOs in a row right now. The only other guy with two finishes is Hiestand, but no one likes him.

The only BWs right now that are getting pushed are Lok Dog and Mcghee, and if Mcghee beats Yan he's going to go from mid level of the pack to a title contender. If Lok Dog beats Kyler, it'll be a big jump for him. He's getting pushed regardless of his last two being decisions.

Suga had some opportune timing because they needed to push guys through at the time. The UFC have to try and do that regularly anyway.

Idk why you are so grumpy lol he isn't the booker. And he did better with his "unearned chances" than most. He won his championship fight!

No shit he's going to have to earn his way back to the top. He said as much. I'm not sure who his next fight will be but it will be someone ranked in the 3-10 range and I'm guessing it will not be a grappler lol.
Pretty obvious

His career is manufactured bs

He’s been exposed now, one dimensional fighter who has above average striking for mma. That’s it

“Phenomenal”, “super star striker”, “like a mini Andy”, has one KO in 6?

He may be the most overrated fighter on the roster right now.

Didn’t make it beyond 3rd sentence. Laughable fantasist bs

Definitely not on par with Silva's, but he was KOing enough people in good fashion that the UFC weren't just going to ignore him. Same sort of situation with someone like Wellmaker if he bodybags another 2-3 opponents the way he has been so far in the UFC.

Also, post what? Sorry, I didn't understand what you meant there.
Who were these good people?
Kris mountinho? Eddie Wineland? Or was it the eyepoke foul they considered a victory?

Enough of this glazing you’ve been doing for this kid. You come after everyone saying that they are too focused on his hair and lifestyle.
but you constantly fail to acknowledge that everyone is more pissed and unhappy about the favorable treatment and blatant favoritism that has effected the careers of other fighters.
This kid was pushed onto the fanbase and no one wanted him. You can stop the paid posting now big guy.

That wall of text does nothing to explain why he got an instant rematch after getting his ass completely handed to him in the first fight.

It was obvious the UFC was hoping Merab would lose to Umar so Sean can have a chance at getting the title back, but when it didn't happen they gave him another shot at Merab anyway and hoped for a miracle, fuck I was so happy it blew up in their face.

You can write an entire book on the topic, but nothing you say will convince me that he didn't get obvious preferential treatment that was not solely due to his fighting skills, and if you deny it you're either dishonest or very naive.

Can you not read or what?

When did I say anything about "good people"? I never said Kris or Wineland or anyone were "good". I said he was KOing people in "good fashion". I'm gonna spend the money I get from my "paid posting" on some reading classes for you, "big guy".

And I didn't see the only reason he got pushed was his performances. Of course, it's his image as well.

That's not "glazing" or whatever tiktok speak you want to call it. All I said was they're not going to ignore a fighter when they're delivering the sort of finishes that he did like those against Wineland and Thomas, no matter if one was washed and the other was a bum. That's not how this works.

In the same way, they weren't ignoring Talbott, and if Wellmaker R1 bodybags his next opponent, he's getting a hard push too. Mcghee is on a good streak with mostly good finishes within the UFC. Now he's getting a bigger push than Suga ever got in getting to fight Yan after Martinez, and that's without fairy hair.

And what do you mean no one wanted Suga? You think UFC pushed some guy that no one wanted? Why would they do that? To not make money? They must have thought someone wanted him, no?

Honestly, his face tattoos aren't AS bad as that stupid crooked sword on Cody.

Not getting into this again but we both know you are intentionally underselling him because you dislike him lol. Last time I'll address O'Malley with you clearly just a fucking hater and thats ok I guess whatever gets you into fights

WTF? I wasn't trying to explain the Merab rematch. What's there to explain? We all know that fight was bullshit. I was overjoyed when the UFC's plans blew up in their face also. Was a great night.

I just originally replied to you saying he caught lightning in a bottle because of ink and hair dye. If you think that's true you're the one that's "dishonest or very naive".

He came into the UFC 8-0 with some great finishes before that. Then he won a decision. Didn't get any push or anything from that. Then another decision. Still no push and fought another nobody next.

Then he had two good KOs in a row. What the fuck did you expect the UFC to do with a guy who is suddenly 11-0 and coming off a highlight reel KO? Give him another nobody? When do they do that with anybody? His hair had nothing to do with them then giving him Chito, who was coming off a loss and before that also had a streak against low level guys.

Oh yeah, when the UFC hyperbole crew starts dropping words like "star power" and "it factor", I just get Ronda flashbacks.
why air quotes. Ronda clearly had both star power and it factor? I don't even like her but how could you dispute it

It's not only because of ink and hairdye, it's a combination of being an American with an Irish last name who could troll people in fluent English while having the type of personality a certain type of American nerd gravitates to.

His actual fighting ability is decent, but there are plenty of more impressive fighters who didn't get half the promotion he got from the company. The whole hyperbole by the commentators telling you he's got "star power" and some "it factor" whatever the fuck that means, he was in large part popular because they told you he's popular.

You sound like a high school girl.

I guess by your metric anyone with a shitty attitude who can be disrespectful on camera has it factor?

If she really had an it factor, why did 99.99% of the MMA community rejoice when she got knocked into irrelevance?

Fighters with true IT factor are still talked about and worshipped today, some decades after they've retired. Ronda just managed to be cringe enough to get enough people interested in seeing her humbled, that's not it factor, that's just basic Colby Covington level of simply being a douchebag to get people to hate you enough to care.

Keep throwing personal insults but yea *I* sound like the high schooler. Grow up m8.

I just said I do not care for Ronda lol. She was over as fuck. She is the biggest/only draw in WMMA history. If it weren't for Ronda women would not fight in the UFC today. To argue against her having it factor is asinine bud.
