I heard olive oil was healthy to put on pasta and what not. I have started eating whole grain rice and noodles, and I usually put a teaspoon of olive oil on them after I cook. It has 14g of fat but 10g is monounsaturated (the good kind). So, is it good to eat with a little olive oil? Does it benefit my health? Thanks in advance.

Olive oil is a good monounsaturated fat, and is somewhat thermogenic, but lacks the EFA's of flax, or fish oil.

To answer your question, for the intended purposes you listed yes Olive Oil is a very good choice.
