Arguably the two most talented Cruiserweights ever.

Holyfield is considered by most to be the GOAT CW and Usyk is the best we have seen since Evander.

Who wins in their primes?

I got Usyk via UD or late TKO

Tough matchup to assess. Usyk's movement gives Evander trouble, but he ends up consistently finding Usyk late. Close JD, could go both ways. Or maybe a late stoppage for Holyfield. On the other hand, I doubt a CW can KO Evander.

Right now, I take Evander maybe and I’m a huge Usyk fan and think he’s still growing as a pro skill wise and experience wise, but I do consider Usyk the CW goat. The way he became undisputed champion and in short time and defended his title against a legit cw opponent, props to him.

Also another thing to consider, when Evander fought at CW title fights were 15 rounds BUT the cruiserweight limit was only 190lbs, not the 200lbs that Usyk fights in today, it does make a big difference

CW Usyk is better than CW Evander
I wanna see HW Usyk in action so we see how he matches up against the monster that fucked up tyson.

I’d take usyk by UD. No way would he knock Holyfield out in his prime

Usyk has poor defensive skills. Holyfield would break him over 12/15.

Bandwagon effect in action in this thread. lol that people think Usyk beats Evander at cruiser weight. Look how Usyk beats people and tell me anyone ever did that to Evander. No way is Usyk outworking and outlasting Evander.

A guy that struggles to beat Bellew being favored over Evander, I've heard it all.

Was an opponents footwork ever a massive issue for Evander?

Evander breaks him while Usyk spends the first half of the fight warming up.

I think the southpaw aspect is more troubling for Evander than the style- he struggled with Moorer.

At the end of the day, Evander’s will, stamina and work rate are too much. He just smothers him.

Struggled with Bellew?? He ate a couple of right hands then left tony spark out resting his head on the bottom rope. He fckin flattened him

Its not a bandwagon effect, you just don't rate him as high as some of us do. The guy is top draw, not a shit fighter that fought in a shite division. Im not sure Evander actually fought anyone with Usyks footwork. I certainly don't think it would be wide or easy, it would likely be very close.

Watch USyk and look how easy it is to get to his body. I've commented on this for a few years now, he is not a very good defensive fighter.

Holyfield rolls over him. Doesn't go 8 rounds.

Evander would pressure him for the entire fight. I can't see Usyk running away for 12 without getting caught up in a brawl.

It’s comical how anyone can be the Goat now even if they have 16 pro fights. It used to be normal to wait for enough accomplishments in the pro’s or till the end of ones career to really give an analysis and compare and rate, now a days someone can be P4P or a ATG off their fucking amateur career, it’s ridiculous...

Lol @ struggled with Bellew. Someones butthurt in this thread, balling 4 replies in a row.

And what bandwagon? Usyk is not star. Usually those type of threads favor the guy with the nostalgic superpower. So the fact that people are genuinly picking Usyk shows that they're NOT biased, especially considering Holyfields overall popularity.

Well usyks career is very different to most pros. How many top pros have had anywhere the amount of fights as usyk? You’re completely ignoring his ami career, and 16 fights is fairly irrelevant as he has achieved more in that time than most top pros will ever achieve. Loma, Bivol and beterbiev have all taken a similar route.

People are responding to the thread title asking who wins between these 2 fighters. Very few have mentioned the word ‘goat’ in their posts

Yeah I know you don’t rate him defensively. Personally I don’t think he’s that bad, and coupled with his footwork, he is very hard to hit. Not seen anyone really go to the body with him so I think it’s difficult to comment. Maybe that’s what guys should be doing?

I’ll admit, I am a fan, but I also liked evender. Holyfield can stop usyk but personally I think he struggles to land too much early in the fight. I stand by my post, id still favour usyk ud
