Thanks for the constructive suggestions. I've tried the avs forums but will make a post of my own. I've never seen anything like it. The TV has been amazing up to this point. Pic below, and no not from porn. I was rewatching Animal Kingdom and snapped a pic.

We've had several threads over the last few months regarding OLED TV's, and I wanted to update an issue that I brought up before. This blueish-green bar showed up a while back and I couldn't find anything in the av's or any other place to compare it with. I love my LG C7 and was more than a little disappointed.

Anyway, I contacted customer service after hearing of the issues with C7's sold in Asia to see if the same had been reported in the US. This is different, but I was shocked at how LG handled my problem. I sent them a description, along with this uploaded pic, and even though it is out of warranty they offered to cover it 100% without me even having to ask (or demand, lol). Within a couple days a tech came out and ordered a new screen (the entire panel). The screen arrived yesterday and will be installed this week.

I looked up the part and it costs nearly $2,000! Absurd, I know, but the real price is still probably over a grand. So kudos to LG customer service. One text chat and one phone call to confirm the appointment and I didn't have to beg or threaten to kill puppies and kitties.

I don't see the blue green bar you are referring to. Looks like I'm staring at a blurry goatse.

Is there a difference in OLED and QLED?

QLED is really just a sub variety of standard LED/LCD were the pixels have colour to them and light is shone from behind were as with OLED each pixel is its own light source,

That means OLED can have much better contrast, with LCD the light shining though from behind becomes it harder to localise, so if you have a light and a dark area on the screen some of the former will bleed into the latter. With OLED you can have a pure black and pure white pixel next to each other.

My Sony LED 1080p has something like that, but not really a color but looks like glue or something showing sometimes, but not always.

Good deal, bro. I haven't experienced any problems with mine but it's good to know that they'll handle it if I should in the future.
