Guys, sherodg member OldSkool is Montanha. Quote from the MMA forum:

"Name is Montanha, one of Cesar Gracie's instructors.

And author of "the Techniques of Brazilian Jiu-jitsu" at www.BJjBook.com

MadMick, being in Red Bluff, Ca. your close enough to us in Pleasant Hill, Ca. to make a quick trip and come visit our Academy and enjoy some good training. "

Now hit him with the: "ATTN: OldSkool. What is an omoplata?".

This is the "omoplata" just before you crank the arm by sitting foward.

I hate being in the Omoplata more than any other position. Especially when your 'really' pinned down...ugh

Most guys are sitting on all fours when the get caught in "omoplata" most times. This pic is one of a series where you scoot sideways away from your opponent and pull him sideways and off his all fours and puts his belly on the mat. At this point the contol is much better.

Then it is really a miserable submission to be caught in!
