A guy I work with had his house broken into while away on vacation. They backed a truck into his driveway and just emptied the place.

But the thing that blew my mind is they stole thousands worth of steaks out his deep freeze.

My girlfriend told me about an old woman that allegedly regularly stole huge cuts of meat at Costco. She would tuck it inside her big coat. She finally got caught when she collapsed in the parking lot from hypothermia (from the big chunk of frozen meat stuck against her body).

When shoplifters get caught, I agree with letting them have what they were trying to steal if they say it was to help feed their children.


The shoplifters should then be allowed to dig ditches or do some other undesirable but fair menial work until they have paid off whatever they stole/damaged, at which point they receive the items they were attempting to not pay for.


They WILL do it. Gratefully. Because of the great love they have for their children.
