Old abandoned theme parks in Japan

I wonder if the old sets from Takeshi's Castle are still around. They're probably haunted by the ghosts of old contestants

lmao is that the Aussie version? Apparently that show has different sound tracks from several different countries. In the US it was re-edited and dubbed over to such an extant that it was basically a different show and was called MXC (most extreme challenge)

To this day I don't know if I've ever seen anything that's made be laugh as hard. I would watch it as a kid, laugh for the entire time the show was on and keep laughing during the commercials. It's just way too funny.

It's the British version mate. That's Craig Charles from Red Dwarf on commentary

Takeshi's Castle was a massive part of my childhood too. That shit'd have me in tears laughing

Make me a lil ghost baby and then not pay child support

That is until the gubbermint finds a way to contact / harvest the spiritual world, then you'd be losing out on your precious ecto-dollaz big time.

Is this like the "MXC" that used to come on spike in america?

These lyrics scare me more than any boulder run.

Very cool stuff. I've always wanted to take a roadtrip up to Centralia, Pennsylvania, the real-life inspiration for the Silent Hill film series. Coal fires burning underground for fifty years have rendered the entire town inhospitable. The entire town's population was relocated and all roads leading to Centralia have been permanently closed.

I'm about a 90 minute drive from Centralia. Want to go check it out, but I know I'll either be very disappointed or be in some Deliverance like stuff.

I don't know if the town still looks like the video I posted, but I would have wanted to go when smoke and shit was coming up out of the cracks in the road. I would have brought a gas mask and shit just to be safe. Can you imagine going at night? That town in the video just looks overgrown with vegetation. Not really as exciting if it's that's all it's got going on... :/

Went to Centralia the other day. Was a bit of a letdown I guess, but when you remember the people who lost their homes, it's just sad. Really was just overgrown with plants, with a lone house that looked like it was still lived in. I think it was the guy from the documentary's house, if so big ups to him for sticking to his guns.

Graffiti Highway was interesting. Almost missed it, it's not visible from Rte 61. Had to park outside the cemetary, walk around a small pond, and there it was. It wasn't easy to find anything, guess I expected there to be obvious destruction, but it's actually in pretty good shape. I've no doubt people could live there now with no problem.

Very cool to hear, you think the fires burned themselves out finally? Or can you still smell gases in the air?
