Oh, The Irony

Whittaker beat him twice. Weidman was brutally finished. Small difference even if I concede the second fight could have gone the other way. You new to the sport or something?

I'm more referencing that Romero changes people after the fight. Whittaker won the 1st fight easily, the 2nd fight should've been a draw, but from then on Whittakers health just went downhill which even Romero noted during the post fight presser for UFC248.

So you're saying Adesanya fought tentatively and in several instances flat out refused to engage because of the potential of post fight repercussions? Not entirely without some justification I guess.

You need to be a hater to say that fight was garbage and that both fighters put in an embarrassing performance? I'd argue you need to be blind to think it was in any way decent.

Argue all you want, bud. It's not making a difference. Seeing how you're already using a strawman argument, I'm sure you can hold the argument all by yourself. Don't expect me to participate.

Well I'd expect you to at least concur with the premise that it was an awful fight. Capable of that?

Why do you need validation? Isn't your own opinion enough for you?

Costa will go after him. We'll see more in that fight.

I'm curious if you're even capable of admitting it given your stance that anyone who didn't like that fight or didn't think Adesanya deserved to win was in need of I believe a wambulance?

Adesanya calls out Romero because he's the "scariest guy in the division" and he wants to prove he's not scared of him.

But now, my only thought is "he was scared of Romero". Lol

He actually proved by "fighting" him that he indeed IS scared of him.
maybe he was using the 'art of fighting without knowing how to fight'..

There's that strawman argument again, bud.

It's quite funny he did fight like he was scared but he did get hit with a massive shot in the first round and he shit himself after that it was fighting without fighting

They why did u post about being happy that israel loses. In no part of that post did mention another fighter winning.

You don't need to, its a forgone conclusion that if Izzy loses the other fighter wins.

Romero is getting slammed for acting like he did something.

At least Israel said he did what he had to do. It was Adesanya that was moving forward the first 3 rounds.

To be fair and honest, he was moving side to side and backwards for the majority of the fight, not forward. He only came forward after running away or at the start of the rounds.

It was Adesanya that ran around everytime Romero pressed then he had to wait until he goes into hibernation mode so he could spam thigh kicks from distance.

Looked like Romero was also scared of Adesanya. Last titleshot you may ever receive and you don't even go for it? He went for it way more against Costa than Adesanya. I assume he was terrified he would get KTFO'ed if he actually threw more than 1 punch every 3 minutes.

Lol fighting smart does not equal scared.

not just means he is not stupid.

last I checked Yoel was not throwing him self at Izzy either.

was he scared as well?

I didn't say that Adesanya didn't run. But I'm being a realist here.

It was Adesanya that moved forward for the majority of the fight. That's why the narrative throughout was that Yoel was trying to bait him. Yoel literally did nothing but back up and stand in place, save for a few bursts of aggression. At least Adesanya threw consistently, although few.

Yes, Adesanya did retreat those handful of times that Yoel did attack but it doesn't change the fact that he was the one moving forward most of the fight and consistently throwing strikes.

Adesanya fought scared and Romero didn’t fight at all. Kind of a pathetic performance by both.

I sorta don't see the point of Arguing with people about this fight.

They were both friggen terrible.

Neither really engaged.

I wasn't arguing for either fighter. Just saying the truth. Neither fighter did anything but at least Israel didn't pretend like he was trying to fight. Israel was honest with his assessment, said it didn't look good but he did what he had to do. Yoel claimed he was trying to engage and Israel ran, and his fans bought it all up just like all his other BS.
