I have more. Both my grandfathers served in WW2. One was a soldier in the army for 20 years and I think he retired from it. I have pictures of him I think in Papua New Guinea and the Phillipines I would have to look.

The other was in the AirCorp(?) I think. I think it was like the Air Force and Navy combo the US had at the time. Anyway he had this anchor tattoo so I assume he was Navy.

My dad served in the Air Force.

I would have joined military too probably but at that time I heavily disagreed with Bush's war and wasn't about to go fight for their cash grab in the Middle East.

Maybe one of your grandfathers sunk one of mine. My Italian grandfather was a submariner who was sunk in three different subs.

My German grandfather was a mechanic for the Luftwaffe.

If he was AirCorps then he was Army. Ariel component of the army that would eventually become the Air Force
