Official Women's Division Discussion #27

CLIFFS

-She trains at House of Muay Thai
-She was raised on a farm
-Her Dad raised her family you competitive; made her work hard young; instill work Ethic
-She would have rather for an older vet than Maycee; She feels like it would have been better if they fought later in their careers
-She gives a tour of her house
-Her family is big on MMA; She saw Ronda's first with her family
-Dad says hardwork and inspiration is how Miranda got where she is
-She still going to school, teaches, and has job while training.
-Has meal prep company sponsors her and provides all of her food; they give her discounted food in exchange for advertisements
-Her family owns a giant ranch; I think she might be rich

Does her mom live with her dad and stepmom? That's kinda weird.

Saw from another interview that Miranda just recently gave up her PhD studies, her program gave her the choice of ufc or school. She's also bought a farm adjacent to her family's property. Wonder if Miranda's two moms will be a talking point similar to the are Shevchenkos really sisters.

Talking of moms I think the most jaw dropping wmma related story this year wasn't Rose stopping Weili but finding out that Aspen Ladd's mother has an onlyfans site. Anyway looking forward to both these up and comers fights.

Also intrigued as to how Cpt Reed (US Army) is going to approach the size differential with Sarge Eubanks. Don't see how she can win but am interested in her game plan. Stick and move and hope she runs out of gas I guess.

Finally is Belbita vs Goldy the bottom tier of wmma in the UFC or would that be the Buys fight the following week?

while looking at the BW rankings i realised that we need holm v. de randamie 2, wonder why that hasn't happened already (aside from the obvious)

I believe Holm publicly stated that GDR had turned down the rematch on multiple occasions. Not sure why...not really many options for either fighter.

She could try fighting some girls that aren't cans, that'd be a start.

LOL Thanks...made me spit out some coffee (and I'm at work). There just aren't a lot of "big" girls like Rin in Japan (a.k.a. land of the atom and straw weights). Rin needs to move to the U.S. to train and get more opportunities. With the right promotion, she could become a name again.

Just wanted to say I thought Aldana Vs Kunitsikaya was a bomb fight. Both ladies brought it, and I really enjoyed it. Exciting start to finish

Agreed. Loved that fight. I was a little pissed at bae for not making weight...but then she delivered an exciting finish and I somehow found it in my heart to forgive her.

Prediction time: after Nunes slaughters Juliana Pena, who does the Lioness defend the 135 strap against next? Why?

Jarl

Probably the winner of Ladd Vs Chiasson or Holly yet again.

Really like what this promotion is doing with their wmma prospects. Bringing in good opponents to actually prepare the fighters for the big weight cutting opposition they'll find when they go international. Might not create a UFC champion yet, but a few of these people are going to end up as ranked action fighter/gatekeeper types in their division. Fairly high on atomweight Monika Chocilikova here as well.

I hope this promotion keeps going (and it seems like that's not going to be a problem based on crowd sizes) and pulling in more IFMA muay thai girls, competition judokas, etc.

Bleda is a potential future UFC champion imo. Obviously it depends on how a lot of things pan out, but she's incredible for a 19 year old.
