Is this Clarissa Shields person that big a deal in boxing to bother with more text than most female MMA fighters get? Genuine question, I have no idea whatsoever who she is what she has achieved.

She is to boxing what Amanda Nunes is to MMA. Most considered her to be the greatest female boxer of all time. No exaggeration

I know next to nothing about boxing but what people who do tell me is she is like Cyborg of boxing. So she is dominant but she is in a division with little talent. I have been told that Serrano is a better prospect that has dabbled in MMA recently. If I am wrong someone please correct me.

Bell curve of female athletes / weight distribution means that women her size will always be the minority.

2/3 of the division have losing records, 1/3 of the division only have a single fight, and very few of the fighters have fought outside their region. Claressa has done pretty much everything there is to do in her division, but that's not really saying much and IMO it's not worth the hype & attention she's been getting. Saw her MMA fight today and it was about what I expected; she's a beginner and has a long way to go.

Serrano has been a star for years in female boxing.
A prospect is someone like Sandy Ryan or Ramla Ali.

Still green, and a little on the older side to be starting her career, but I liked what I saw out of Zamora last time. No idea if this means any of the other fights were canceled, or if this is just a add on.

She ended up fighting an opponent tonight who weighed in at 165 whilst she weighed in at 145. I saw it earlier on tapology and assumed it was a mistake until it was announced on air.

I'd say Jozette Cotton would be a good potential opponent for Shields, as she is also primarily a boxer. However, bitch was like 180lbs a few days out from a 155lbs fight, so I doubt she ever makes that weight again.

This had to be the least entertaining Phoenix Series yet.
1&2 had interesting high level matches and 3 had a bunch of newer fighter batter each other.
This was 6 low skilled girls thrown at 2 with experience well beyond them, to the obvious LVZ vs Delboni final. The quarter finals were like watching murder. Question for everyone who says this division is amazing if atomweight is supposed to be ufc ready why can't Invicta find more then 2 for a title eliminator tournament?

I agree the overall talent level was a little lackluster. We all know most of the 105 talent is in One or Rizin.

Not a bad night of fights overall. Invicta was good, I was thoroughly entertained. Mihalec vs DeCoursey was an absolute slugfest. Final was a good fight, LVZ just had no answer for the pressure game of Delboni. I saw either of them beating Zappitella in a rematch, but it'll be up to Delboni to get it done.

iKON 7 was low level as usual, but Pascual and Serrano got it done, good enough for me.

Open FC has the strawweight tournament bouts tomorro, UFC, then next week has a big DEEP Jewels card with two title fights, one of them being the atomweight GP final, with the semifinals as the opening bout. Exciting times in the ladies divisions.
