Her stand up could be terrible, but she should still be significantly better than a lot of UFC strawweights. I say sign her!

Sad news; one of the better 50-51kg fighters from Thailand Hongkaew Sor Sayan committed suicide. I had been following her as she had recently beat the better Jaroonsak sister on TV and had a competitive fight with Phetjee Jaa (imo the best Thai lady fighter atm). She was 22 years old, with a record of something around 121-20-1.

Here she is with Loma, Sawsing, Chommanee.

Just started training gi too.

"The parents of the World Muay Thai women's champion found hanged in her rented room on Monday suspect it was murder, saying a rope mark on her neck is too low."

"The rope mark on her neck should have been high if she had hanged herself from the upper door frame in her rented room. Instead there were two rope marks on her neck and one of them was low, as if she had been strangled while lying down, the father said. "

"Going by police photographs taken in the room, Mr Suriyant said, the chair which she allegedly stood on before hanging herself was too close to her body."

"These inconsistencies suggested she was murdered, he said."

I hope her family & loved ones find an answer, even if there's no pleasant answer to be found. All the Thai fighters I follow seem pretty shook up by this.

That is awful news. I hope they find out who was involved if true. It's sad to see her die at such a young age.

Sucks fighting somewhere cold if you are not used to it. Particularly if you have to dry out/weight cut and then weigh in somewhere else. With no bodyfat and little water in your system, in the cold you feel like free-dried shit, instead of just shit.

Thunder Fight has it´s last edition of the year and they will promote a 125lb tournament.
Kinda underwhealming since most of the girls are actually 115lbers, but still, always nice to see a one night tournament.
Interesting to see Joice Mara, finalist of the straw-weight tournament giving it a try at the flyweight GP.
