Official Women's Division Discussion #25

That probably helps, yes.

I don't recall any of Moyle's fights, but in Pereira and Taylor's cases their fighting styles certainly didn't help their cases. And to be blunt, Curran, Chambers, and Eye are more traditionally attractive than those three, and in WMMA that tends to play a big role as well. Yoder and ABC aren't bad on the eyes, so I'd expect them to be given a Curran-esque leash for their roster spots unless they stink it up in a fight like Gonzalez.
What? The blue lipstick thing was a bad choice, but Pereira is pretty af.

Amanda posted a seemingly pro bolsonaro message on twitter, I'm really disappointed.

I feel there is no point in following MMA anymore. The fan community is toxic, and my favorite fighter is supporting a rightwing nut.

Wish you all best luck.

Seems more "he will not divide us" to me

That sucks. I'm a big fan of her fighting style. I wonder if she wishes she took the opportunity to fight on the contender series.
Did she really turn down the opportunity? The Contender Series contracts are actually pretty good. They are 5k/5k no strings attached contracts. That is probably a lot more than she would get just at any other regional promotion. The exposure would have been amazing with a good performance as well.

Sometimes I wonder just how much fighters understand the fight game. This reminds me of a recent interview where Andrea Lee said she wants to go up the ranks slowly so when she fights for a title its under a better contract. Does she not know that you make a minimum 130k for title shots and if you win you sign a totally new contact? What the hell type of advice are these managers giving their clients.

Sadly, judging from replies of the post, it's almost certainly a pro bolsonaro message.

It is. The wife (former professor of the University of Sao Paulo) says that everything indicates Amanda celebrating his election, which makes shit for sense given his stance on LGBT issues. Beyond that I will not discuss anything political here.

How to say this? It may not be her manager. She does not exactly seem like a Rhodes Scholar candidate.

May be "turned down" isn't the right word to use but she had already signed a contract to fight

A great couple of months coming up in wmma - two goat title fights, plenty of hard to pick matchups, UFC debuts for Barber, Cifers, Lipski and Antonina, two Invicta cards ....... can't wait.

Also, EBI strawweight championship tournament on December 9th.

When Macedo pulled out and they announced Lipski vs Moroz instead, I soooo wanted to post 'so how long until Moroz pulls out then' to make myself appear like some kinda psychic but thought 'better' of it.
Sigh.

Nice bedsheets though, Maryna.

I doubt

someone would want to hurt themselves to the point of needing a cast just to avoid fighting someone

If the x-ray posted is correct it looks like Maryna Moroz broke her foot
which is a 6-8 week recovery depending on the severity of the break.
