UFC 222 is coming up, what fight are y'all most excited for? and who y'all got? I got Dern, Vieira and Cyborg. Most excited for Vieira vs. Zingano. Interested to see how Cat looks, don't really have a prediction for that fight because Cat's been out for a while and so I dunno how she looks but if we base it off their most recent performances then I'm going with Ketlen for this one. I'd expect the winner to fight Reneau for the next title shot.

Also, what's the status on de Randamie? I know she's coming off hand surgery. I'd like to see them match her up with Evinger or the Ladd / Smith winner (I am so stoked for this fight, hopefully it's violence personified and both just let loose). Holm should get the Vieira / Zingano loser.

Most excited by Mackenzie's UFC debut. Watched a few of her previous fights & enjoy her high level BJJ. Going with Dern, Vieira & Cris.

I like Yoder but a third loss could well see her cut, a bit unfairly as I thought she beat Kish. If she was more of a boxer she'd have a good chance but as a wrestler I can see her ending up like Montana DelaRosa. I'll be cheering for Ashley though.

I usually favour the new blood but maybe wmma needs a vet with name recognition like Zingano to go on a bit of a run. Happy whoever wins and no real idea who that'll be, hard to gauge when Cat's last win was in 2014.

I'm not as anti the main event as some and think Kunitskaya will win ........... well not really, but one day ...

Alesha Zappitella (3-0) makes a quick return to fight in her home town at Irish Fight Night 1 in Conneaut, Ohio on March 17th. She fights Brenda Enriquez (1-1) at Atomweight. Going forward, she would like to remain at Atomweight and could be a top contender in the division shortly. Most recently, she fought Kyna Sisson (3-2) on February 17th and won by Split Decision at Strawweight. Alesha would be 4-0 right now if she didn't test positive for weed (ironically on 4/20) in her fight last year against Stephanie Alba for Combate. Enriquez was born in Mexico but fights out of Utah and has Split a pair of Decisions in the Combate promotion.

In the main event I want Cyborg to win - and have little to no doubt that she will.

For Yoder vs Dern, I think I'd prefer Dern to win.

For Zingano vs Vieira I feel a bit undecided. I'll probably be rooting for Cat tho. Imo she has the more interesting history in division. Plus she kinda really needs to get something going now.

I think Holm said she wanted to stay at 145(Don't quote me on this but I do remember hearing that). Holm gets paid WAY more for title shots so its makes sense. She will always be like 1 win away from another one at 145. I really want Cat to win but she just fights too infrequently.

I'm not against Holly staying at 145. She's easily big enough.
But who will she fight? I'd NOT appreciate her getting another shot at Cyborg right away. I think she should have 2 other fights, before that option is considered again.
Since they're training together I guess Yana is out, but maybe that fighter (Letson (?)) Yana was originally supposed to fight? Is she still signed for 145?
Or Megan, if her issues ever get sorted out. Tho from a building-up point of view this might be not the best idea..

I'm excited for the main event. Enjoy seeing Cyborg fight. Watched Yana when she was with Invicta & glad she's got this opportunity. Interested in whether she might hold her own or will get destroyed quick. I get pumped up for every fight as each one is important for the fighters. Always learning more & each fight resolves a few questions and presents new ones.

Holly always looked pretty rough at weigh ins for 135, plus she said she added about 10 pounds of muscle her last camp and she’s not getting any younger. 145 is probably a good idea for her if they can find opponents.

I don't know exactly what happened because she is being very vague with exactly what happened kind of like Julianna Pena when a guy tore her knee up. Like Pena it was probably a guy horsing around but going a little too hard when doing it with a woman as opposed to a man. I can't embed her post where she talks about it some in the comments because her page is private but i'll quote one of her comments that is pertinent to how it happened.

"...there was nvr a reason to go that hard and literally break me in half..purpose has nothing on the reason he did it at all, nothing was gonna happen except to break my leg in half. Dude's a POS for this."

She came in at 136.5, they used the hoop and it came down to 136 and a quarter. They've given her an hour to lose it, she doesn't look like she had a rough cut or anything so I'd expect her to lose it in that one hour given.
