The Meme thread isn't an insult to the left: it's an insult to comedy. There are right-wing posters who do post funny stuff about the left et al. JudoThrowFiasco is hilarious.

But the meme thread is about 80% pure grandma-chain-email garbage, with everything from the nucleus of stupidity (Cint, uppercutbus, glenwo2) being the comedy equivalent of a claymation cartoon about the Holocaust.

Best All Around Poster-- For blending a @Jack V Savage level of stuff smart people write with a @Fawlty level of saltiness, my official nomination goes to @Trotsky.

Worst All Around Poster-- @Seano . Anytime I see Seano has posted in a thread before me, I play a game. I think to myself, "Hmm, what is the most inane position a person could possibly hold on this topic? I bet that's what Seano thinks."

Best TS-- It's hard to deny that @Arkain2K makes good threads, even if he does get bitchy about people not reading all 79 pages before they post.

Worst TS-- @abiG by volume, I guess.

Best Thread - @Quipling 's Mueller series. This is a lock.

Drunkest poster - This is a tough category to judge. All I can say is that I have passed out midpost several times this year, and feel I have made an honest contribution in this area.

Worst user name - @GearSolidMetal sorry, bro, but your screen name is repug.

Best user name - @ChillBroBaggins

Well shucks I was going to vote for a slam-dunk candidate The Clash (formerly Soul Crusher, formerly RIPWarrior) as poster most likely to be banned in 2019 but I see he only lasted about 24 hours and didn't survive to see the new year.

OK, here we go:
  • Best All Around Poster: Same top people every year: Fawlty, Pan, Quip, Trotsky, kpt, Rup, etc. Lucky stepped up this year. Good seeing @MilesAbove return, as he's top tier, too. @MiniCraque is elite but not active enough. I always have fun with wai. Limbo busts some good shit out at times. Never thought I'd say this after reading him in the HWs, but CuePee (@MikeMcMann) has done a lot of good stuff this year. If I have to pick one, geez, I dunno. I guess @panamaican.
  • Worst All Around Poster: I use the ignore list for the bottom-tier guys so I can't really say. Of people I read, maybe Seano? But there are dozens of worse posters than him.
  • Best TS: Consistently, I'd say Trotsky.
  • Worst TS: See above on the WAAP award. Maybe Arkain, though.
  • Best Thread: Gotta be Quip's mega Mueller thread. Best thread titles, too, but Fawlty's Lounge has some good ones, too.
  • Drunkest poster: No idea. Bad category, IMO.
  • Worst user name: @MMAisGod
  • Best user name: Splendica or @K1levelgrappler (also, K1 for funniest, edging out Fawlty, Quip, and @ultramanhyata).
  • Rookie of the Year: Answered this one already.
  • Best Feud: Maybe Fawlty vs. Cubo? The thing is, it was mostly just Fawlty dunking on Cubo, and Cubo "liking" petty sniping at Fawlty from inferior posters. If y'all'll (is that acceptable @Captain Davis?) forgive a little immodesty, I thought the superbet feud with wai was maybe the deserving winner here.

  • Sketch or Sniper?: Sketch is smarter but trolls a lot. Sniper's a little dim but kind of likable. I guess Sniper.

Most missed: @Denter, Greoric's brain, @Octavian, Dochter/Upa.

Ed: Proko is actually a strong contender for the first award, though I forgot about him. Final Rehab is really good, too.

Ed2: Farmer also deserves some consideration for WPNOJIL, but I'll stick with Seano for that one. Also, apologies to SBJJ.

Ed3: TCK needs some kind of award. That dude is beautifully strange.

There should be a conspiracy theory award. The, "Just asking questions" or maybe the, "Look into it" award.

TCK would win for his theory that African Americans are actually Native Americans.
