Official Titanfall Thread

I'm always put on the shit teams against the higher gens, I still kick their ass, the rest of my team always sucks, Hate being the only good player on my team.

Had a funny moment last night, a party joined and one of them said "Welcome to hell pilots", then they rage quit out when they were down like 150-70, with me titan punching the one dude who said it around 4 times lol

I just regenerated today before coming into work. What a pain in the ass, not having my classes the way I like them, etc. But fuck it. I am going to be playing this game till the cows come home so I may as well regen as much as possible.

I am meeting lots of new people in this game, cool people that are using headsets, so now my friends list is full. I have to go in and delete a pile of people that I used to game with when I was into CoD to make room for my new Titanfall family and keep my Crysis 3 family.

But what a pain in the ass, doing it on the Xbox itself. I will be hours, clicking on people and deleting them, and backing back out to my friends list. Is it faster if I log in on the internet?

I did manage to approve your friend request, Throwdown337, and you were friend #100.

You get to hear me whine and cry that I have a laggy connection, in the final moments leading up to me rage quitting.
;)

Today, I'm going to provide a short breakdown of the kinds of improvements you can expect in our updates, along with some examples of recently released and forthcoming features.

Updates to Titanfall contain a variety of changes:

• First, we tend the garden and keep the weeds out. The focus here is on the current game, rather than adding new features. One category here would be minor tweaks and fixes, such as our recent adjustments to the Gooser challenge, more generous Hardpoint scoring for attacking players, and weapon balance tweaks to the Titan 40mm and Quad Rocket. Our ongoing improvements to matchmaking also fall into this group. This is all about the core health of the game.

• Next, there are "convenience features" - these are not huge infrastructural pieces, but they will make your life more pleasant in Titanfall, and they tend to be related to things you use or do repeatedly. For example, our most recent update introduced the requested Party Colors feature, allowing you to easily identify fellow party members both in game and in the lobby. The next update will bring more convenience features such as: the ability to rename your custom loadouts and to make custom loadouts specific to each game mode, a way to filter your Challenges by criteria such as 'closest to complete', and displaying the final scoreboard from your previous match in the Last Game Summary so you can review the scores at your leisure in the lobby.

• Then there are the "infrastructural features". One example of this is the recent beta release of Private Match. In future updates, we'll be bringing you the first wave of custom Private Match options, allowing you to personally tweak your Private Match experience in a variety of ways. Whenever possible, we want to get these kinds of features out early in beta form, in order to get your feedback and arrive at the best possible result through multiple iterations. Competition-oriented and what we call 'competitive spirit' features also fall into this category. More on that in future updates.

Beyond features, there's more tangible content coming as well. Some of the new content we are developing for future updates include a new Burn Card set, and Titan "Nose Art" Insignias that you can use to customize the identity of your Titan. We are also developing new game modes and game mode variants. New maps? As you may know from PAX East, we announced the "Expedition" map pack going on sale in May. (Note that with the exception of map packs, all other updates to Titanfall will be free of charge.)

Our plans for supporting Titanfall are simple. We'll keep you better informed between updates, and we'll deliver free updates to you on a regular basis. We are constantly tweaking our support plans in response to your feedback, and although we cannot promise everything requested will go through, we are listening. Thanks again for playing Titanfall, and keep the feedback coming!

I regenerated once, and it's not really worth it to me.. I probably won't do it again

I just got bs'd so hard I had to make a clip, at first I thought he was cheating but after seeing the killcam it's more like some crazy lag...

I wish Burn cards lasted longer (2 or 3 lives), and that there were less of them. Burn card upkeep is a fucking chore right now

ya know there better be more weapons in this dlc, and not just freakin maps

Is there an app for this game

I will keep regenning

This game shits on cod so bad

I will probably keep regenning too. I know you don't get shit for it, but I saw a guy with a Gen 5 chip today and I was a little jealous.

I like the burncard system. It is a drag when you use one, and then you spawn and die right away but you get so many of them, I don't get too upset about it.

I am trying to get into a habit of using them though, and tossing the ones that I don't care about. I am trying to run with no more than 14 cards in stock at any time, because there are a few times in this game where you reach a certain level and you get a motherload of burncards given to you that are rare.

If you are hoarding a bunch of generic cards, all the rare ones are lost in space. I bought the strategy guide and it lists the circumstances that you get awarded the rare burncard packs, so I will try to remember to post it here for you guys.

You get burncards based on achievements with weapons or challenges. They look like a playing card for a tabletop cardgame.
For example if you kill 25 Grunts with the EVA shotgun, you would get a burncard for an "Amped" EVA. Another when you kill 50, etc.
(Amped just means overpowered or supped-up)

Then you can choose to use that burn card for one deployment or spawn, and it lasts as long as you live or until the battle is over.

As you progress, you will unlock a total of three burncard slots, so before a match you can select the burncards you want to use (Based on the maps or game type) and have them ready.

For example I like to use the Stim burncard as I deploy out of the dropship to give me a speed boost and I run straight to teeh enemy and try to get first kill. Later in the game I will have an anti-titan burncard set aside (like the Amped Mag Launcher card) so I can spawn with a super powered mag launcher for one life and fuck up any of the enemy titans that are wreaking havoc.

I posted a couple pics out of the Prima strategy guide you guys should check out.
They are on my StabbyMcHatchet facebook page, just do a search.

The requirements change for regenning, it is not just a matter of hitting level 50 after you are Gen2. I posted all the regenning requirements and I also posted all the unlocks for every level from 1 to 50.

I used a Ghost Squad Burncard on "Corporate" Map and wrecked shop. I went 13 and zero plus a bunch of minion kills and 2 titan kills. It was awesome.

That EVA-8 shotgun is a killer once you get used to it. I'm leveling up fast in Gen 2 but I am not getting the required Pilot kills with my Titan's 40mm autocannon. Once you regen, you aquire experience at a rate of 1.1 (10% faster) so that helps too.

Level 39 after 3 mornings of play. Not bad.

It really does seem like no solo players talk. Most don't even have a mic hooked up. Playing CTF is a deathtrap without communication.

Sounds like Call of Duty and Battlefield. Sadly, these games attract very selfish players who care more about their own stats than achieving victory as a team.
