Official Titanfall Thread

I really love the game. I wouldn't buy a system for it..,. The graphics aren't anything special.. I bet the 360 version is identical to the Xbone version.

I got it for PC and the PC specs aren't that much for it to run. A slight upgrade to your pc might be all you need.

Highlight featuring Disciple, Gregolian, Juice, RJ43, Alpha, and others:

Any other killer apps coming out? What about Halo? I know bungee did Destiny, but are they officially done developing Halo games?

Exclusives Im looking forward to are Halo 5, Gears of War, and Quantum Break. Project Spark looks interesting but doesn't seem like my type of game.

343 now has the rights to Halo. Bungie's last Halo game was Reach.

I love how you can outplay people in this game, examples include, guy shooting me in the back I stim out of the room, double jump and wallhang above the door, he runs out after me and I kill him.

or getting a guys titan to half health while dodging him using a building, drop my own titan near him and destroy him with my full health titan.

Even things like side jumping into the air can throw people off if their aim isn't on point.

Agreed.

Ya im 99.99% sure im getting Halo 5. If/when titanfall drops in price I may pick it up but thought the beta was no bueno.

This game is definitely in the category of : easy to take on, hard to master;

I completely agree with Imyourpusherman, just a bit before I dodged a few bullets of an enemy's titan in my own titan, hide behind a building and jump out of it, put my titan in auto mod and jump on the other's titan back to help my auto titan and when the guy eject I kill him in the fly

The game is full of micro actions that makes it awesome

This problem is kind of infectious to other areas like game modes and co-op strategy. Titanfall gives you only a few game modes, but none of them really feel like much of a different experience. I prefer some to others and all to Attrition, but you never really feel like you are getting a new experience. It's the same feel with a slightly different objective or a use for the other perk or two you haven't been using. I've been playing with randoms but the need for strategy just doesn't feel like its there because the pace of the game is so fast and the game modes really don't require it.

The biggest missed opportunity is the complete lack of interesting game modes IMO. That was actually one of the sole reasons I decided not to buy the game (the other reason being the price -- $60 for this game is a joke). I could tell just by the beta alone that without interesting modes, the game would get repetitive/old very quickly.

Nice. Good games last night. So much more fun to play when you have a group that talks and strategizes.

Its amazing how different the game is with a party of mic'd gamers. I agree with RJ43 that you don't need strategy the majority of the time, but when you actually use tactics and communicate properly the game really shines. Before you and Disciple got on, my friends and I would win 1 out of 3 games. After you two got on and we had 5 players with mics, it was a massacre. Out of the 15 or so games we played last night we probably only lost 2 or 3 of them.

Got it on Xbox One and it's awesome!

I may buy it again on PC if enough of my friends want to play it there

The number-crunchers at GfK Chart-Track also said that Titanfall contributed to a massive upswing in sales of the Xbox One itself, with sales virtually doubling thanks to the Titanfall Xbox One bundle: 70 percent of Xbox One sales overall were the bundle, and console sales were up just over 96 percent in total.

They needed that badly.

Though from the sound of things, this is going to be the last "exclusive" in the franchise. Good way to build an initial base though.

Does anyone ever switch weapons, everyone that kills me uses the first gun you start with. I am a little sad that gun variey is so basic. I doubt even DLC can fix that.

Looks like I am going to have to drop $500 on an X1. Watching those videos has me pretty near drooling.
I will likely play Titanfall all frigging YEAR, until they come out with Titanfall 2 or whatever. When I get into a game I am pretty loyal to it.

I see a lot of people talk about how it will get "old fast" or stale, but I am one of those guys that loves to get into a game and just play it over and over and over and over.

That's one of the reasons I was such a huge CoD junkie and never wanted them to change the engine: It wasn't broke. I just wanted new maps all the time.
Now unfortunately Ghosts has turned me off of CoD and I am back on Crysis3 but once I have Titanfall, that will be it for me for a year at least.

Plus I still have a hopeful heart that they will come out with Left 4 Dead 3.

I'm loving the R-97 SMG w/ rapidfire right now, absolutely destroys at close to mid range.

I started out with the R-101C the first rifle till I unlocked the Eva shotgun now I'm using the C.A.R SMG.

I use the CAR for cqb and the hemlock for mid to long range.
