Official Titanfall Thread

I'll post some pics when I get home in a few hours. I'm gonna start installing it and downloading the patch while I run to the gym. I'll snap a couple of pictures of it next to some of my other statues to compare the size. I knew it was going to be big, but damn.

There is no single player, right?

But do they have a multiplayer mode that will give you a back ground story to why these titans were made and why the two groups are fighting each other.

Correct. There is no single player mode.

The two multiplayer modes are classic and campaign. Classic allows you to choose the game type you wish to play like team deathmatch, capture the flag, etc. Campaign is competitive online play like classic, but it provides commentary before each "mission" that establishes the overall story. Im only about 5 missions deep into the IMC campaign, so I haven't seen very much.

Getting it tonight! What's everyone's impression so far?

Game is fun which has been severely lacking with other fps for a while. Just love the maps and how smooth the game feels.

The gameplay is great and balanced and the maps are solid but really don't feel like there is much depth at all. Didn't feel like I was really experiencing anything I didn't get in the Beta. I guess it is hard not to feel underwhelmed when I already spent about 18 hours playing the beta , I guess I just hoped there would be a little more to the online campaign than some lame drop ship cut scene.

its fun, but my orginal complaints still stands, they need to release mod tools for the pc so we can get rid of the damn bots

I read more complaints about the campaign. Glad I dont care much for that.

Here's a quick pic before I head to the gym:

This game reminds me more of Unreal or like a hyper version halo more so than COD. Aside from the progression system it really feels nothing like COD. I have been playing CTF and it really takes me back to playing Unreal TE.

I have to laugh when I see people say they have no interest in playing the game but for some reason come to that game's discussion thread to talk about it. Very strange. lol

A FPS fully converted me to 'the master race' of gaming back in 1999. I look into every FPS i can to see the quality that has been put forth over these past fifteen years. Popularity does not equate quality. All i see from Titanfall is a BF 2142 concept piece with a mech mechanic stolen from the movie District 9.

In the end im looking for every bit of info i can gather on a concept or implementation of mechanics.

Well, you're certainly welcome to whatever opinion you want, but you've already said you have no interest in playing the game, so I fail to see why you would be interested in discussing it. What is in it for you at this point? Are you hoping to convince others that they don't enjoy the game?

I mean, I get it during the lead up when you're researching a game before release, but at this point you have already made up your mind, there has been an extensive beta, a ton of gameplay footage released, and the game itself has released to great reviews, so what is the point of coming to the thread?

Not that I care, I'm just curious because it seems like a weird thing to do.

That statue is so ridiculously huge. I like it but wow, I would not even know where to put it.

Just knocked out the IMC's campaign. Now its on to the Militia's version for the last unlockable chassis.
