Yes and no. It was a good stoppage in the sense that the fight was 95% over, and he saved Wilder from a lot of punishment. But there's still a small chance Wilder lands a big punch or gets a second wind. It's just not a good look when you stop the champion while he's still standing. Let him get knocked down and count him out.

I think Joshua could keep the distance on him. Only way Fury wins is on the inside. Not sure why, but Wilder's head movement was way off. And he didn't seem prepared for the first round at all. After the first knock down it was over.

Yea, his offence was very much lacking the few rounds. I still think it's early for the ref to stop the fight. If you're going to stop it for lack of action, then you need to call a break in the action and warn the fighter that they need to fight back, or you will stop the fight. I don't think I saw that, so if the ref just stopped it on his own, that was a little early.

But it seems like the corner threw in the towel, so that's legit. They know their fighter better than anyone. If they say he's done, then he's done.
