Off to grab dinner, then play dark souls on switch in the GameStop parking lot until 9. I wanna get my place in line, get my shit and get home.
 
I'm worried about the lack of things to do in the open world

Wild West is naturally a pretty wide open place

I just bought it now thru xbox. I know this fucking thing is massive but im hoping they let you play while it downloads like other xbox games.

If anyone pre downloaded it, post your internet speed and how long it took to download.

Some of the bigger industrial towns look like they will be fun to get into shooting wars in.

Does anyone rememer the first midnight release, what was it, Halo 2?

I get around 200+ mb/s when Im not playing anything while downloading. Took me about an hour and 15 minutes to install the 88.1 GB for RDR2. If Im playing while downloading, my mb/s ranges from 85 to 120.
 
I'm stuck at work for another 8 hours, and then have to drive an hour home, and then I have to install the thing. I'll be happy if it downloads within an hour at the most.

Its only 88gbs? I thought it was over 100gbs or something. I remember when i installed gta 5 on pc and saw the size I was like :eek:. Its still one of the biggest games around and this is even bigger.

Also im sure you preloaded it but im wondering if there will be an option to start playing it after around 50gbs or so. Im thinking no because of the open world nature.

106gb on Xbox One X. 88gb on PS4 Pro.

Xbox One X has a higher texture resolution and requires the extra 8-10gb of space for that exact reason.

Where are you seeing that its 106 on Xbox One X? That's the console I have it pre-downloaded on and it only says 88.1 GB for the game, plus 20 additional MB for the pre-order bonuses and Special Edition Content.

Is the 106 GB taking into account the day one patch, or am I somehow missing 17.9 GB?

EDIT: Some websites are suggesting the extra 17.9 GB will be for online next month.
