crazy metacritic score as expected, GTA5 also had a 97 though and I got bored of that game after like 4 hours

I agree about GTA5. While I think technically speaking it's one of the greatest games ever made, I didnt find it all that much fun to play. I think they really need to revamp the missions. They added the heists but those weren't great and 99% of the other missions were the same old drive here and/or shoot this guy. I played the hell out of GTA4 and loved it and while GTA5 is just a bigger and better version I think I was tired of the formula at that point. I think thats the same reason why I preferred Vice City to San Andreas.

RDR2 looks like it offers a lot more interesting things to do and interact with the world.
 
according to Newsweek Target and Gamestop are releasing RDR at 9pm tonight. I will call to confirm when they open today

This day in age, GTA games just don't cut it for me. I use to like all the modern day car jacking, car modding, gang filled, robbing, killing worlds of GTA, but Wild West and Midevil environments do MUCH more for me as far as immersion.

GTA games are beautiful and well made games, and have quite a bit of depth and great storytelling, I just can't play them anymore.

I see myself playing Red Dead to 100% for a straight month or close to it, then for hundreds of hours when online mode comes out.

i said bye to my mom and said "you arent gonna see me for 1-2 months"
 
when GTA 4 came out my entire job site was empty. im literally the only guy that showed up for work out of hundreds of people lol
 
Getting concerned at this point, still no shipping notification from Rockstar. I ordered it a week ago.

Can't wait to play. I love RDR and John Marston is one of my all time favorite game characters. Unfortunately, I have a somewhat busy weekend and have to go meet people and go to a wedding as well. Real life sucks! I want to ride with my posse and rob trains all weekend.

The driving kills me in the GTA games. I commute an hour each way for work, last thing I want to do in a game is drive around lol so I always lose interest halfway through the game. But riding a horse across beautiful country, and hunting along the way? Way more fun IMO. Can't wait.
 
when GTA 5 came out i was at my local gamestop in Cali and there was a line of about 300 people so i went to the walmart in the same parking lot and bought the game instantly and then waved goodbye to the people standing in line.
