April’s SAROS aka 2026 GOTY is now up for preorder!

<nonemybusiness>
I got the digital deluxe. Didn’t realize until I preordered that it got delayed 40 days. Kind of glad though. Have a whopping four games I want from February that should give me way more time with them until Saros releases

What are the DE extras? Cool stuff? Haven't preordered yet myself.

48 hour early access and 3 suits inspired from other Sony games that include god of war, Returnal, and ghost of Yotei.

I absolutely loathe the "early access" shit companies have been charging for. Pay 20 bucks and get in 2 days early. Just what the fuck

I think this is the first time I've seen a first party Sony game do it. I'm just in it for the costumes. I know I'm going to dump a bunch of hours into and sometimes I want to look at a different suit. In Returnal they never sold them separately. I see the early access as just a bonus, plus it helps prevent street date leaks for me at least or YouTube videos so it ain't too bad overall.

Am I alone in thinking this actually looks pretty good? I wasn't sold on it before but I may just spend 40 dollars in March to play this if it gets decent reviews. I don't play a lot of live-service games but having one or two to play every now and then can be fun.

I tried to get into the December beta and when the emails went out I searched my inbox only to find out I got in back in October. I never saw the email back then though. I really wanted to try the game out myself so I'm hoping they do an open beta. They did say they would have one but that was before all this delay stuff happened so not sure if plans changed.

I kind of liked Arc Raiders which is why I'm interested in this game. The issue with Arc is that the PVP encounters aren't fun, the guns aren't that fun to use either. Also not a fan of 3rd person when it comes to PVP. So I'm hoping Marathon can improve in all those areas.

I saw the announcement last night for April 2026 launch and got very interested what tweaks they've been making in this time. Definitely watching this one.

Skin vanity is great for change-up and I bet the GoW one looks wasteland sick. When I was looking at the two editions, I have to say the cover art for the DE is rad as hell.

Grabbed Mirage from Plus catalogue. Definitely some good titles on the service this year; got my money's worth and then some.

Confession: I started playing Killing Floor III last night. Fun AF. Excited again to play tonight.

Played with 4-6 other guys for a couple hours. I was originally flirting with uninstall after they force a 15m tutorial on you to unlock any gameplay that is offensively basic for anyone who's picked up a shooter in the last 15 years. But I pushed through and started getting into games.

Free via Plus. If you're looking for a jump in, jump out shooter with melee latitude (think katanas, shurikens, archer systems, traps you name it), check it out. Scoring is blatant Mick Gordon rip.

Grabbed a physical copy of Elder scroll : Oblivion, played it a bit on gamepass, i want to have the full experience of PS 5 pro, lot of hours and fun to come.

So this title did so poorly that word’s out from Embracer it may even have support pulled. Yowdy. Launched only late summer.

It doesn’t look great and the poverty of enemy type sucks but it’s been fun late at night the last couple days. End of the series with that miserable a forecast, maybe.

So this RAM shortage might delay the planned release of both the PS6 and new Xbox according to Tom Henderson. While I don't mind getting more use out of my PS5, I wonder how this will impact Fromsoft's next IP since it's quite likely they are making the flagship title for PS6.

I'm honestly glad. I'm in no rush for ps6 plus the migration to ps5 has been slow, meaning many people will stick to the ps5 if they release the ps6 next year.

They are expecting the ps6 will have an AI "helper" when you are stuck at a particular point in any game. Can't say I'm excited for that. Although I think AI in general has some cool potential for gaming, this isn't it imo.

Where did you see the rumour that Fromsoftware is making the flagship title for the PS6?

Fromsoftware is not known for pushing the technological envelope. I’m sure whatever title they’re working on beyond Duskbloods if it was meant to be on PS6 would no doubt be cross-gen with PS5, and if the PS6 gets delayed to 2028 or 2029 and the game’s ready in 2027 or 2028 then Fromsoftware will just release it for PS5 first with a next gen upgrade to come down the line.

Fuck that if true. So that means people can farm trophies away from their PlayStation? Kind of makes them pointless.

I made a post like this and this dumbass website had an error and I was too lazy to rewrite it. But yeah essentially I said the same thing. I think the most likely thing to happen is From Software licenses their IP out to someone like Bluepoint to focus on graphic fidelity. Probably most likely a remake of dark souls or Bloodborne. A brand new game seem unlikely for reasons you stated. I think Bluepoint will have their own PS6 exclusive but it will be God of War Egypt. This is just based on the fact they had a live service game cancelled and they already have experience with the world and characters. Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart sequel probably the most safe bet though as an exclusive to release within a year of launch.
