The reviews for Metal Gear Delta are pretty damn good. Going to stick to Shinobi and Cronos though. I think 70 dollars is a lot for a 14 hour game that didn't add anything new. 2026 should be 50% off by then. Big respect for them putting out reviews a week early. I like that kind of confidence.

I’ve vocalised myself how off the pricing is and 70 being tone-deaf territory for this. Agree.

Apparently it has frame rate issues that DF reviewed as unfortunate and unnecessary. Engine is UE5.

Looks fun but will pick up at discount.

Yeah I just heard this game is a very rare case of the Pro version being somehow worse than the base PS5. That's unforgivable, definitely needs patches before I consider.

Yea I'll be passing on this for now. I played Shinobi demo and loved it. My only concern is the difficulty. It seemed to easy. I'm wondering if there will be a trophy for beating it on higher difficulties.

I will add though that sometimes DF shows things as an issue but to my untrained eye it looks just fine. Like FF16 was a game that had issues but I loved it and sure the FPS dropped here and there but overall it was a great game. With so much to play though might as well put it in the backlog for now and come back to it later.

It’s the first level so I wouldn’t worry too much. Even if it ends up being easy there’s going to be optional things that are tough. Did you replay the level after getting the sword dive ability from the boss? It gives you access to a new area which has an insane platforming section. Failed a lot on it. Beating it gives you a piece that builds some sort of weapon. I’m guessing you’ll have to do a bunch of these to acquire it in the full game

Ok that's good to hear. I didn't make it that far. I loved what I played other than the difficulty and decided to just stop. Will probably go ahead and get the 3 day early access version since it lines up perfect with my wife going back to work and I'll have plenty of time to play.

I have not but I will get to it eventually considering how much I enjoyed Sword of the Sea. Have Shinobi ready to go. Unlocks at midnight

Shoutout to technical marvel Death Stranding 2 for Hideo's 62nd birthday yesterday.





Today, I turned 62 years old. I received many birthday messages, illustrations, etc. from all over the world. Thank you so much. I intend to continue creating things for as long as I live. My stance on "creation" is to “not overwork” and to "take it easy,” and I will continue to give it my all even after my 60’s. I will keep taking care of my health on a daily basis. I’m loving Shinobi so I doubt I’ll be able to drop it for anything but once I wrap it up I’ll decide between lost soul aside and Cronos. If it released back in may it was a day one no question about it but sadly they pushed it back into a a super crowded window. Also a bit scared of performance issues like you said with a massive day one patch

Yeah I’ve had my eye on this one. Gorgeous looking game. Also oddly refreshing to play as an old dude for some reason. Don’t really see that a lot. Looks like it’s going to be a 2026 release
