I really just want a normal controller. They are already pretty expensive.
The battery life on that thing is gonna be minutes

PS6 possible pushback into 2028-2029 as Sony considers RAM shortage driven by AI.
Fine with me because weird gen given early bottlenecks + industry-wide game development cycle fattening.
Nah, I'm down with it too. Looks really good. Retro pixel is awesome but it's all about original art direction and enviro, lighting: Some titles lose magic in the transformation, others resurge. Simon is a BAMF and OG slayer so can probably dual-graphic it either way, aaayyy. Pretty sure I wishlisted it in Store the other day. Can’t wait for that castlevania! Some people are complaining about the looks/graphics? Looks fine to me.. I wouldn’t mind being much easier to play compared to silksong. A bit of a challenge but fair. I don’t want to struggle for survival.. or is it just me?
I don't want any metroidvania to play, or rather be designed like Silksong. That game is just flat out cheesy and artificially difficult with all it's bullshit. It's just one troll job after another. Miyazaki would've told those boys to tone it down. Can’t wait for that castlevania! Some people are complaining about the looks/graphics? Looks fine to me.. They weren’t assigned. They chose that. Bluepoint pitched the idea and Sony green lit itThat fucking sucks. I know it had some haters but I thought the Demon’s Souls remake was excellent. Then some dumb fucks at Sony assigned them to work on that GaaS God of War multiplayer title that got cancelled last year.

Yeah it’s shocking and most comments I see online share your sentiment but it’s been reported many times that Bluepoint came up with the idea. Not too surprising. A lot of dev want to challenge themselves and not get stuck making the same type of game over and over. Sony was also desperate and green lit it. In hindsight Sony should have forced them to stick with what they’re good at. I still don’t agree with shutting them down. They have so much potential. I would have just had them work on another launch title but for PS6. They are technical wizards.

IMO Bloodborne will never be remade by anyone except Fromsoft. Miyazaki has consistently said it's his favorite game. If he went to Sony and said make sure no one touches this, then that's how it's going to be.Five years of hopium for a Bluepoint developed Bloodborne remake. All gone now

Whenever I see demographic breakdowns of sales it terrifies me. It’s almost always the case that it’s people in their 30s and early 40s buying these types of games. Younger people are captured by live service games and various phone apps. Once millennials move on or die out it’s over for many of these games that we grew up with. There simply isn’t enough money moving around in this industry for AAA games to cost this much. It’s the whole reason we got into this live service mess to begin with. Games need funding and games are costing too much but many are not returning enough in profit. You can be a respected studio in this industry but doesn’t matter if you’re not printing money. We saw that with Tango not too long ago. Best case scenario here is the talent involved on the team moves to a new studio similar to how Japan Studio became Team Asobi. I’m really hoping that’s the case. The fact that they made a game look so good on launch day is insane. Be a tragedy if they all let goIMO Bloodborne will never be remade by anyone except Fromsoft. A similar thing happened with TLOU Part 1. Another studio was working on it and then ND took over the project. Sony wont ruin it's relationship with big names\studios over 1 game because it's not worth it. Especially when most of their money comes from GAAS games and subscriptions.
Sucks to hear about Bluepoint but I don't expect them to be the last for Sony and across the industry. I don't think people realize how bad things are for gaming right now. Investment into games has completely dried up.

Wow, I didn't know that. I always wanted to see what they could do with a game they crafted some scratch. I never would have imagined/desired a Live service GOW game from them. I guess they were thinking Helldivers-like profits? Once the dust clears, that will be an interesting docu. They weren’t assigned. They chose that. Bluepoint pitched the idea and Sony green lit it
I don't know the whole situation but I'm thinking that once Bluepoint finished helping with Ragnarok they thought Sony would most definitely help fund them with another God of War project. Bluepoint probably wanted to get off doing remakes and figured this new GoW project would align with Sony's live service push. There has to be more to the story than simply Sony bad Sony pushed a crappy project on them then showed them the door. Maybe Bluepoint lost the passion to keep doing remakes and they couldn't come to an agreement on a new project. It's very bizarre because this industry is full of remakes and remasters you'd figure the safe thing would be to have them do more of that. Really weird story, hopefully more details come out.I really didn't like what they did with it. It was gorgeous, and played really well, but it didn't feel like Demon's Souls at all. I don't think they understood what made it special, outside the combat. I had played OG Demon's Souls not long before it, emulated, for the first time, so it was fresh in my mind. That was the only game I wanted a PS5 for at the time, but could not land one. I wound up borrowing the system from a friend.
They did an amazing job on Shadow of the Colossus though.
