The problem is that people really truly believe in white privilege and don't really have the intellectual capacity to grasp that it's not a race/color thing, but it's a majority thing. The proper label would be majority privilege, which is an innate animal characteristic that is embedded in us.

There is also celebrity privilege, rich privilege, sexy privilege, talented privilege... the list goes on and on.

The main problem with all of it is not that it exists (privilege to a degree always will exist) but is the actual blaming your own short comings for it, wanting a pity party for it and thinking that another race's individual accomplishments are purely from it. Especially nowadays, it's not 1950, get over yourselves and go put in some damn work.
