Who are these guest characters really for? Ed Boon think they're super cool and worth spending money on licensing rights?

Ghostface is an angsty teen ffs.

Gonna hold off on the DLC until it's not $50-60 bucks. Didn't have to wait too long to get MK1 for like $42 dollars as it was.. maybe 2 months?

Same, MK1's story is off the rails but I still enjoyed the hell out it. Really like a lot of the mash up characters and would like to see more, even if they're Kameo's like Janet.

Not paying what they're charging for it though. And while I do like Omni-Man and Peacemaker, I'm totally burnt out on guest characters.

50 is quite a bit but at least there's six new characters instead of three. Aftermath was 40 bucks for three characters and a new story which is arguably a worse deal.

Still might wait though because there are so many games that come out around that time like AstroBot, Silent Hill 2, and Black Myth Wukong.

Y2 DLC launching late September, konfirms NetherRealm on Friday at world famous San Diego Comic-Con.

Entitled Khaos Reigns, Boon announces new khars Noob, Sektor, and Cyrax – then in staggered release Terminator T-1000, Ghostface, and Conan the Barbarian.

Kool bits are T-1000 and Ghostface are both being VA'd by the original film actors, i.e., T2, Scream.

Animalites are back on the menu too. Skip to trailer end around 2m 53s to see (Praying mantis vicious).

I wanted to be more hyped but this game lost me quick. The gameplay and the new modes fell flat, I did like the story though as it was wacky at the very end on the pyramid. Noone really has me excited as far as the new dlc, outside of the T-1000.

I wish Netherrealm would just make a horror game already though, Ghostface doesn't fit in here. That pains me to say as a huge horror fan lol, unless they change up the Ghostface lore for the sake of MK.

At least stay tuned for what Conan the Barbarian fatalities they think up. You know these are going to be franchise all-time highs: Arnold + Cimmerian savagery. They teased a charging hyena in the trailer so I wonder if that's part at all of Arnold's finishers. Hyena screams Cimmerian, IMO.

The Hyena is probably Havik, if you look closely his jaw is messed up.

Also, we're talking about a franchise that gave us a penguin fatality for Scorpion and chimpanzee for Reptile. I don't think it will be that easy to guess. Although maybe this time around they won't troll us as much since Mileena's fatality perfectly represented her character.

Cool overall gameplay wise. Not a fan of the iron man helmet with the constant face reveals. Seems really stupid to expose yourself like that in combat. Loved how in the originals you never see their faces

Also seeing cryax turn into a bee is konfirmation that dlc characters both past and future will most likely have one. Wasn’t so sure at first with the initial reveal. Still think fall is too crowded for me to pick this up. I think I’ll jump in when it’s 29.99 around holiday season or early 2025

These are all incredibly well done. If they have another kombat pack that adds stage fatalities with even more characters this might be one of the best MKs of the modern era. Enjoy the video! If you don’t want spoilers and want to see them for the first time playing yourself don’t watch.
