PlayStation Official Ghost of Yotei Disc **NO SPOILERS

Dont need to equip them for them to level up.

Game is super addictive.

Oh damn didn't know that. Nice Tip, thanks. I agree very addictive. I'm trying to focus myself because I start a quest and just get lost doing other shit.
GOTY for me.

Chain assassinations under moonlight. Sick grapple animations. Sweeping landscapes. Great story. Incredible score. DualSense delight.

I’m dual-katana’ing everyone to Bolivia.

I’m playing in Japanese.

For you guys playing in English, are the story quest songs (sung sometimes when on horseback) in English too?

I’m thinking the lyrics for me read like Japanese poems set to traditional Japanese music so was wondering how that works in the other languages available if translated.

Nice. I've been using the standard Katana I've just upgraded it so much it's working really great for me right now. Normally in games like this I'm always dual Katana but it's just to weak compared to my single blade. I want to get the kusarigama and Odachi next but I'm on the spear quest right now. Which I'm not even sure why cause it's the weapon I care about the least.

There is one armor that really cares about weapon alignment for perks and outside that...I have dual blades, odachi, kusarigama and the spear (I've only beat the Oni though)....I use kusarigama for breaking shields pretty commonly and the rest if I remember. The skill you get for completing the masters quest with the spear is pretty useful too.

I have all my weapons at the same level too. It's just a bitch to switch 8 times in a battle, so mostly I just use the katana. Throwing shit at people's face breaks their guard if I really need it.

Yes that's one thing I don't like either is switching so much. I'm going to get like 2-3 main weapons and just stick to that. Doesn't seem the game really forces you into anything which is a good thing. I just started throwing shit at people last night and was surprised at how effective it was. Those big dudes were destroying me cause their range is huge but once I started throwing stuff at them it's been way easier.

I’ve only experienced that once and the song was in Japanese.

I was specifically talking kunai and whatever the powder for breaking guard. That said, any blue glint weapon on the ground should be grabbed and thrown. Same with every pickup sword or spear in camps or towns.

At worst, they are a free major hit, at best, they are a free murder.

I'm so bad at picking up weapons and throwing them. I can never hit my target.
