Finished downloading on X Box One S. Will start the campaign offline, solo for now. Should I do anything (like shutting things off) in the settings before I start playing?

Picking this up tomorrow, probably try Moze since having a mech just sounds badass. Wonder how it runs on PS4 pro.

According to posters here https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/boards/189589-borderlands-3 it's running well for solo apart from some complaints about lag in the menu. Depends on whether you're going onliine and / or playing split-screen. Yeah Moze looks pretty rad. I plan to start with her too. Can't resist a big ass mech.

Didn't get to play last night but at level 20. I'll definitely be completing all side missions on the first play through. Might save the other stuff like the Hammerlock missions and circle of slaughter and what not for the second playthrough.

The only issue ive encountered thus far is the waypoints not showing up. Beyond that, there has been no perceivable bugs.

100% agree that not seeing quest rewards was one of the only steps backwards. Forgot to mention this myself, probably since I have been playing too much to post much.....
Yeah i got two legendary shields and i have no idea where they came from. The Transformer (returning from BL2 but it's not made by Vladof this time, it's Hyperion) and this other shield called "Marksman Red Suit" its awesome. It deals radiation damage to any enemy close to you, and also functions as an Amp shield with a 30% drain on first shot.

I'm doing the 2nd playthrough now, gonna just do the story missions, and save the side ones till level 50.

I had an area where you needed to clear the entire area before you could proceed. This was late in the game too and a VERY crowded area, and there was one enemy showing up on the map and i went all around the map looking for the enemy and i never saw it. I'm using Zane, so I was deploying the sentinel and digiclone and neither ever saw it. Ended up save/quitting it and redid it to move on. That's been my only real issue so far, but that was happening to me in BL 2 playing in Digistruct peak when i was trying to level up to OP10 a couple months ago.

Oh there's a glitched grenade mod going around too.

I havent tried it since I gave up the ability to throw grenades in exchange for 2 action skills with Zane.

Killavolt man. 1 attempt, almost beat him at level 14.

lol the most difficult boss to me. It's all those damn shock attacks he does. I beat the final boss in 3 attempts. Would have done it in 2 but I ran out of ammo. lol The boss just had a slither of health remaining too

Can't wait to get home from.working away to play this again, felt like I barely scratched the surface.

Just installed it, I can already appreciate the gameplay improvements after just playing 2. The UI is still ugly as fuck though, good lord.

Level 36? Did side quests too?

I'm at level 25 now, I'm on Eden 6. Lol i got the Elon Musk inspired flamethrower from a loot tink, then I got a legendary Jakobs assault rifle (2) after rescuing that guy from the COV prison.
at the moment i am close to beating my first play through i am currently level 45 so i guess it just depends on how you play what level you will be when you beat it

Wow, I completed the Holy Spirits quest on Athenas where you clear out the ratch. I went from 3/4 level 15 to over 1/2 of level 16 when I turned it in.

Also, Captain Truant wasn’t a bad fight.

lol I see why Gearbox patched the Loot Midget and Chucabra.....I seriously got 6 legendaries just now from one drop from the Loot Tink at Jakobs estate....playing offline so the patch doesn't apply.

Anybody want some level 50 gear on xbox? Let me know and i'll hook you up. Wanna get rid of some of this stuff.

Ok, help me out here. If I choose two action skills, do I forfeit the use of grenades?

Sort of, but not exactly. Zane has a skill where he can shoot a grenade at about 25% for the first shot of a magazine, and he has another one in the Drone skill tree where the drone can drop a grenade for you. And another skill where the decoy throws a grenade soon as you bring him in. But you can't just throw a grenade like normal.

Just beat the game, it's a solid 2/5 if I feel like being extremely nice. Plot was great but the writing was awful and ruined it. Boss fights were just boring bullet sponges. A couple good new characters, but one that was just infuriatingly stupid (who ends up being a major hero, because fuck good writing). I figured out the twists about a quarter of the way through the game because they couldn't bother being subtle about anything. Side quests were mediocre at best, some were just flat out bad. They retcon a few major plot points to make the game make sense in the end. And the technical issues I had only made things more irritating. Sound would randomly stop working, mobs would path into walls, story script woudl break so I would have to reload to keep moving along (and clear out all the enemies again). And speaking of enemies, who the hell thought short repawn timers was a good idea? I dont enjoy spending 30 minutes grinding through an area, warping to the beginning because my bags are full, just to find out I have to clear it again. Wound up leaving a LOT of loot behind constantly thanks to that. Oh, and some of the previous characters are just plain missing. Like, not even a mention. 3 playable characters aren't mentioned at all, one is only mentioned through random echo devices (which retcon a HUGE backround piece about another major character), and a major NPC from the first two games is also missing for reasons unknown.

Just... what the fuck. They need to fire all the writers, and put Randy on a short leash. This is one of my favorite series of all time, and this game makes me not want to play any of them ever again.

Level 25 now. The game so far is okay, fun but not amazing. Hopefully the add ons will be good

Can't really comment on it, but you know what's always pissed me off about dungeon crawlers? Inventory limits. It's so counter productive to the design of the game.

"Just look at all this shit you can experiment with! Fight ten or twenty enemies, annnnd you're full. Now either drop some items, or stop what you're doing and go to the hub world and sell them."

"Torchlight" is one of the few dungeon crawlers that got that shit right, and let your pet fuck off to sell all the useless shit while letting you continue to play. I can't stand inventory limitations in these games, or any game, really. Same with "survival" games, like "No Mans Sky", or RPG's like "Skyrim" that have an arbitrary "weight limit". Just let me collect everything and sort it out myself at my own pace. Quit forcing me out of the fucking game to do tedious inventory management. It really only has a place in survival horror games, where it serves an actual purpose to the core game design. These other games where you can carry 100 items, just not 101('cause that's realistic), can fuck right off with that bullshit.
