Multiplat Official Battlefield 6 Disc **WINTER OFFENSIVE LIVE

So the game is a solid B. I'm having a good time overall, but ALMOST.EVERY.MATCH. is a blow out loss. Like by 300, 400, 600 tickets. On one they caught all the objectives and had 890 tickets left when the critical loss happened. I don't' remember the matches being this imbalanced so consistently in any other BF. I am a very solid BF player and am in the top 10 or 5 almost every match because I cap objectives. But I can only do so much. It's unreal. I've won 47 matches and have lost 61. And most of those aren't close.

It's like a new group of players has come (good) that don't understand the game (understandable), but they're always on my squad/team (sucks donkeys).
My first game every day is pretty much without fail being tossed on a team losing badly in the last few minutes of a match. Ive literally joined games, selected my class, spawned, started walking only for the defeat popup message to come up.

One thing that certainly isnt helping is the fact that so many of the challenges are stupidly tedious requiring a very specific play style that isnt conducive to winning, so to unlock things you have to decide to be a hindrance to your team/limited help, or ignore challenges and play objectives aggressively.

I think a lot of my frustration with blueberries is the progression system. People focusing on unlocks instead of just playing the game. Guys on our team we're trying to unlock lmgs so everyone was just hip firing for effect, getting slaughtered and eroding the ticket count like crazy all to get some suppression points and unlock a lmg.

I'm loving the game so far. It's not perfect, they never are, but it's a really solid game and I feel like it's got some decent balance. I think they will have to nerf the thermal sights though and black out the peripheral vision like they did in other BF games. I hate when the meta boils down to just a few options, hope they can keep that from happening.

Agreed. The unlock system sucks.

Looks like golf resort is in the pipe for S1 maps! This was the coolest map we saw in run-up to launch, IMO.

i have a lot more fun playing rush, breakthrough, and escalation as they focus the players a lot better. It can still be annoying with those random "why the fuck is that guy there?" deaths, but it's far far less than something like conquest. I dont really enjoy conquest that much as it just seems to turn into one team with most of it's infantry circling the map in a large group capping points while the other team is either doing the same or just get's slaughtered. I think a big difference is that a solo doesn't have the same weight as they did in previous games. It's like in 2042 or bf4, bf3, etc. a really good solo could defend a capture point if they knew the map and had a little bit of an idea of where enemies are coming from. With the added vertical flexibility in BF6, combined with some interesting balance choices, it's really hard to be an effective solo. The game really opens up if you have a good squad.

I think a few things need rebalancing:
SMG - why is this more effective at long ranges than most of the rifles and carbines? sure, it might take 5-6 hits to kill, but when you have almost no spread and an insane rate of fire you are punching far beyond what i think the devs intended.

AR - There needs to be a reason to use these. I dont think there is much incentive to run an AR when SMGs and carbines are just superior in nearly every way. There's 1, maybe 2 ARs worth running, but only if you are going to play to their strengths. and still, good luck against any smg at nearly any distance.

Assault injector thing - i dont really notice anything when using this? maybe a slightly faster sprint. Just a waste of an item/gadget unless they make it do something more useful.

Ammo - if im standing next to a support and ask for ammo and he's too stupid to throw a bag just allow me to restock ammo while he sits there like a moron. can't tell you how many times im surrounded by support and im begging for ammo so i can take out the tank that's fucking us up. fucking infuriating.

Angry Joe ripped on the levelling. Stupidly slow, like you guys have been saying. He did the math and it’s 1000s of hours to unlock mods across the board, iirc.

I have died so many times following a medic around trying to get his dumb ass to feed me. I shoot at him. Stab him. Signal I need ammo. Nothing.

There should be one spot at each hq that reloads you. It will cost you time to travel back but at least you could get some. It wouldnt be active till all the points have been captured by either team the first time.

They have already announced the fixes and they went from crazy over the top stupid hard to pretty freaking easy, imo. The most stupid was the sniper needing something like 100 headshots from 250m or more. Where? Where the fuck can you do that? The maps aren't big enough to make that something you would do very often let alone 100 times?!?! Glad they are patching it though.

just had a massive round as engineer and yeah, the SMG is just crazy OP. sniper on the other team was like LOL that's the best DMR in the game after i got him from 100+ yds away. Plus close quarters nearly nothing beats an SMG. The resupply of ammo is very weird. I walk up to a bag and sometimes it will top everything off and other times it will give me like half a rocket and half a grenade. not sure how it works this way or why?

I need to get my old squad back together. playing with randoms and relying on blueberries is just the worst, worse than bots! at least the bots have some logic built in. dumb blueberries still trying to use AA from spawn and dumb crap like that.

Equipment resupplies recharge gradually so you have to keep standing on an ammo bag and it takes a while.

Good game overall, but my general gripes are mostly quality of life.
-Open up the urban maps a little more and more consistent destruction
-Assaults second grenade perk should be automatic, not resupply based. Same with engineers rockets.
-Mines are a bit too atm, tone back damage a bit and have them disable vehicles. And add some way for drivers to detect them if they crawl or something. Maybe an audio cue instead of visual.

one of the vehicle loadout options reveals all mines. agree on assault grenades and engineer should get at least 1 more rocket by default, imo

It does, but it's reliant on the second crew member, which in pubs is a stretch. I was thinking just a beeping sound if you get close. Just so you know hot and cold, not exact location

Been using assault the past week due to the 2 primaries the B36A4 assault rifle is really good imo and also the SVK-8.6 DMR for at range 2 shot kill.

Liking the new map too. Had some great games on it last night.

Lol. Its 150 200M headshot kills. And to unlock that you have to get 50 150M headshot kills, and you also have to do the 100 DMR headshots.

I got the Elite Recon Badge sunday night, it was a gigantic pain in the a** as I didnt use any bot farm servers, just lots of escalation, conquest and Breakthrough games.

Level 31 with the M2010
Level 39 with the SV-98
Level 17 with the PSR

Played REDSEC tonight.

Map (Fort Lyndon) is fairly sized, IMO. 20+ POIs, iirc.

It was Warzoney at first and was thinking pass but the engulfing firestorm and smoke plumes (or burn line, they call it) is the most realistic and intimidating arena mechanic I’ve ever seen in BR. Very cool. You look over your shoulder and feel it.

MMRs spank, too. Love the hitmarker audio. Plate animation to bump TTK = death sentence (long).

I played a round on the NYC map where one of my squad mates got a beacon down on a rooftop overlooking A. Had a fun time wrecking armor coming in from their spawn. They finally figured out where we were and the chopper came after us... Until I shot it down with an rpg 🤣

Love these little moments of hilarity.

Its really hard to get a good flank move as a solo but I had a few good ones where I got behindthe enemy line on an objective and was able to rack up kills. I wish I could identify enemy support better and target them first.

I got the game last night and really enjoyed it which is no surprise I also enjoyed the beta. I'm just loving every single map so far. I've always enjoyed BF more when it has a ton of buildings and places to run through. It forces Tanks and air support to be more strategic.

Love those battlefield moments. Nothing like dragging your downed squadmate reviving him as you see enemies enter the cap and then get the rez and take out all the enemies and get the cap!
