I wonder what JJ and Stipes walk around weights are. Stipe is a small HW and Jones is a big LW. I bet they’re not much different in size. Also, I’d argue that Jones striking is on par with Stipe. I bet the betting lines will be pretty close.

If you think there is no way he comes back then you are a dumb dumb. He's 34 years old which is young for a heavyweight, DC didnt even get to the UFC until that age.
Jones is always watching and commenting on fights, he trains every day and still thinks he is the best. Fighters that are retired don't train for 4 hours a day and dont have an ego. He'll cherry pick a heavyweight fight before the title shot and fight for a few more years, or until he loses.

This. He is just preparing and waiting for the best time to jump back in. He's waiting to see what happens with Ngannou and if he stays or goes to boxing. Jones will get an instant title match either way but he's waiting to see who his potential opponent is. Ngannou is the reason he took extra time to prepare and didn't jump in right away after seeing the Ngannou vs Stipe rematch.
