A sherdogger recently made a thread about the Diaz bro's boxing skills, in which he explained why they aren't that great of technical boxers (http://forums.sherdog.com/threads/n...x-warning-stay-away-non-long-readers.3248795/).

Most of the comments were about how Andre Ward (a Diaz training partner) claimed that they were good boxers, so they MUST be good boxers. But at the same time, Eddie Bravo said McGregor had great BJJ, but no one believed him, even though Eddie Bravo and McGregor almost have no relations to each other and Andre Ward would obviously be bias towards the Diaz bros.

TLDR - The bias vs McGregor is really obvious on Sherdog.

P.S. I think the Diaz bro's are great boxers/fighters, so don't come at me calling me a McG fanboy.

I respect your point, but I don't think it's bias.

Both Nick and Nate have already showed their boxing skills several times inside the octagon, while we haven't seen much on the ground by Brown Belt Conor.

Definitely a fair point, I hadn't considered that. But on the other hand, McGregor hasn't had many opportunities to show his ground game, whereas the Diaz bro's have had more than enough time to show their boxing.

Whats your point? That Mcgregor is not that well liked? Ok i concede you are correct....

The Diaz brothers can box because I've witnessed it, whether they're great boxers that's an individual opinion I think both brothers are damn good boxers great I'll reserve that for other select full time boxers.
McGregor's jiu jitsu is something I've never really seen in deep action but nothing I've seen thus far tells me he'll be a threat to anybody on the ground I don't care what Eddie Bravo says...

I think in this particular case it's fair to say Eddie is simply trying to keep the fabrications of Conor going strong.

He did smash brandao on the ground who won Naga several times and dominated Holloway on the ground who tapped Swanson.

He also reversed nate and almost passed on that takedown. Controlled Mendes pretty well as well and had that impressive sub defense/escape/stand up.

You cant decide someone has great or bad jiu jitsu based off just a few instances.
Some people say his wrestling is bad because he got taken down by mendes. who is a good wrestler
Some people say his jiu jitsu is bad because he got subbed while he was rocked by diaz who happens to be a black belt himself.

If you watch jiu jitsu competitions like the worlds or pan ams you'll often see brackets with good purples, and some guy in the bracket submits everyone. Does that mean the other competitiors arent purple belts, or arent good purple belts? No, it just means the guy who beat the rest has a better game.

In this case conor also got rocked.

Mcgregor isn't good (compared to the top tier MMA fighters) on the ground, and doesn't have GREAT boxing. That is a fact. It's been seen.

The Diaz brothers both have GREAT BJJ and MMA Boxing. But they also both aren't good at neutralizing movement, or stoping leg kicks and takedowns, and both can be held down by superior wrestlers. that is a fact. it's been seen.

Nothing Conor does troubles either Diaz. This is true. And this also makes me think that Conor is a fucking idiot and isn't smart in analyzing his abilities or his opponents. Because if he was, he would've never chosen to fight Nate.

I don't think Conor has bad BJJ and he didn't lose because of his ground game
He lost because Diaz started landing those 1-2s clean and Conor knew he would've gotten KOed
A guy known for his knockouts would rather lose via submission than knockout
He lost the fight before Nate choked him out,imo

No bias here... Evidence based on both boxing and BJJ.
