If you survive round 1 vs Brahimaj, you win!

Close to a squash matchup. I think Elliot closes -700 -to 1000 fav.

That name sounds familiar.. Brahimaj.. sounds like the name of a Khajit I've met at a tavern in Skyrim

i expected a step up for Oban Eliot ,he is a legit prospect

Yeah, disappointing opponent for Oban.

I guess this is his four fight contract done, then he can renegotiate a higher pay day and a higher level of opposition, but if I were Oban I wouldn't be picking fights like this at this stage.

A loss would be really, really harmful and kinda isn't worth the risk.

I think it's pretty good matchmaking actually. Brahimaz is 3-3 in the UFC and a more experienced veteran than any of Elliott's previous opponents.

If he's a legit prospect then he should be able to get the win and earn a real contract. If he goes 4-0 then sure, time to give him a big step up in competition.

It is probably an upwards trajectory fight, but not much.

Ramiz' UFC wins are absolute bottom-of-the-barrel stuff despite being there being three of them, and when he's losing to guys like Court McGee and Themba Gorimbo, it seems to be about as hand-picked as you can get.

But still dangerous given Ramiz' experience.

I guess I'm looking at this from Oban's team's POV a little too much, but it seems high risk, almost no reward.

Yeah Brahimaj is probably a tougher fight than his record indicates and he's hard to look good against.

But I don't think Elliott is really in a position to be picking his opponents at this point in his career.

Let's see what he gets after this.

I actually wouldn't mind Oban vs Themba, actually. 4-0 vs 4-2 and another step up that should be very winnable.

Worst case scenario would be Phil Rowe lol - 3-3 and Oban probably struggles.
