Rumored NY Post reporter says he’s hearing UFC PPV buys are way down

Yeah, you don't need to tell me what you think, it all came from the same disinformation bubble we've all heard before.
The disinformation bubble of Facebook and Twitter? And mainstream media?

UFC bamboozled ESPN. If I remember correctly, ESPN guarantees them the equivalent of a 400K PPV buys for every PPV financially, so the UFC just puts whatever they want out knowing they'll get that as a floor.

What's the problem? I stream whatever I want, when I want. Dana made it clear a long time ago he doesn't want or need my money, seems like we're all on the same page here. They watered down their product so bad they can barely create 3 events a year that would even make regular viewers think about paying a PPV fee. And btw, when you give away the first 7 fights who the fuck wants to pay for the last 5? Pretty stupid model right there. You gonna put lucinda alcindo vs. amanda lemos on a card and tell me thats worth 15 dollars when I can watch that kinda shit on streeboofs for free? hahaha fuck you

That's what happens when you turn your back on the fanbase for far right-wing younger dipshits that don't care about anything but clout and hate. They turned on us and stopped caring about the fighters stories and why we should be invested in them. Tell us why we should care about these new fighters. They just pump fights out and focus on the 3 letters U F C

We used to have Conor McGregor, Ronda Rousey, GSP, Jones, A.Silva, Brock Lesnar, Diaz brothers, etc. all at the same time and in their primes and now we have Ankalaevs in every division...and inflation has increased, eggs are not getting cheaper...
Egg price never went up at Costco, just limited to 3- 24packs at a time

I don't buy anymore as ESPN+ is terrible sound always cuts in an out n freezes at least once an event.

You have to wonder exactly what UFC cares about, it's just pumping the brand and meet the minimum requirements to keep espn money rolling. Sad how it doesn't matter what fans do and they can shove garbage out, it's a disconnect from the consumer. Everyone in charge of UFC who have been their forever rather squeeze short term before they leave anyways.

Once people stop paying for it (seems like that is happening now), UFC will get the message. Every person on this board who buys tickets and buys pay per views is the cause of this. Boycott (paying for) UFC and they'll feel it. Cancel subscriptions to ESPN, stream the events. The fighters get paid the same regardless, you're not taking money out of Josh Emmet's pockets. Maybe Potaton gets less ppv points, he still gets his millions when all is said and done.

Anyone paying is part of the problem. Stream the events, buy some merch from a fighter on the card. Guilt free streaming

I hope one day you can repair what you've done to your mind.

I'm starting to wash my brain with messages from the media. It's working, I already want to pay more taxes to send to Ukraine.

Pretty much. I think that deal was signed when Conor was at his peak, and his PPVs were a guaranteed million+ buys.

The UFC is still dangling the technicality that Conor may fight again, as a bargaining chip for their new deal negotiations.

Ratings are dropping for most sports. Good luck finding a buddy to go to a basketball or baseball game with you. Peoples attention spans have gone to shit where they aren't capable of watching anything completely but 10 second reels along with the actual product being watered down.

If you go back and look at Dana White interviews from like 13 years ago he was very open about the goal of getting more and more fighters so they could put on more and more events. This is probably still true. Giant roster and shitloads of events. As long as they can keep getting paid per every event they put on they have incentives to keep pumping the roster full of whatever and crank out cards.

The solution is simple: more dana white. New podcast called "the white stuff". More press conferences. More availability to the "mma media". More everything, that's what people want. Even if he's not available, just find another mediocre bald dipshit and work extra hard to make him the main character of every story you tell

they rely on sponsors and TV deal to make the most of their money

UFC has never been better,
this is not the same company that needed huge PPVs numbers to be profitable

their new business model is more reliable, as they have build a strong brand

dont listen to the Bredan Schlong, that predicted the UFC was going down 10 years ago,

their valuation is increasing every year
