You could be sleeping peacefully in your own home and someone breaks into your house and pulls a gun on you, he winds up dead and you're in prison.

US has the absolute weirdest laws.

Depends on the circumstances of how and where the perp was shot.

If he got shot 8 times in the back and not until he had already gotten 4 blocks away.... then there is an issue.

PA is the same way. Once out get outside the suburbs of Philly you find yourself in what appears to be Kentucky.

That's what I assume the manslaughter charge is...shooting the perp as he was running away. In states like NY and here in MA, that's considered a no no (as the perp is now retreating and no longer a "threat" - which is bullshit).

He's only been charged. No way a jury convicts him, IMO.

Hopefully a grand jury kicks it out before it ever gets to court.
