NXT Takeover: The End - Live PBP and discussion

If I'm nitpicking, I REALLY don't like that they feel the need to yell "KINSHASA" every time he does it. I'm gonna take a wild guess and say they're trying to emulate what announcers do in NJPW or something, but I still don't like it.
 
Better than the inevitable Cole call "Vintage Nakamura!"

Graves needs to get called up in this Draft. He is ready.
 
IIRC Nakamura put a legit proper BJJ arm bar on Aries. He even corrected it exactly as you are taught to do. Proper kick ass technique.
 
There was also a proper BJJ triangle - you push the opponents head to strangle them even more. Just these little fucking details.

Joe Rogan should watch some fucking Nakamura.

IMO it was. The Alpha Revival match was better, the womens match was better than Asuka Bayley. Andrade Dillinger was way better than Aries Corbin.

Even the Balor Joe cage match was better than the Dallas match because that one had to keep being stopped.

Zayn Nakamura was better than Aries Nakamura and the Dallas crowd was hotter than the Full Sail one.

I wonder what Aries / Nakamura would have felt like with the a really hot crowd like Dallas had.
 
Onto Brooklyn, here's how I see the card right now.

- Shinsuke Nakamura vs Finn Balor
- Samoa Joe vs Bobby Roode vs Austin Aries
- Asuka vs Bayley
- Revival vs Authors of Pain vs TM61 vs Gargano and Ciampa
- Andrade vs Itami

Alpha will be called up, as will Balor but I read some of the NXT Talent will stay on both main roster and NXT until the Brooklyn Takeover. Balor says he wants one more NXT match. Nakamura (now the champ gives him one. Would most likely be both guys last match in NXT)

Have Nakamura win the title at a live event or NXT taping. Roode can cost Joe it or something.
 
Can't wait to see the next tv ep. Although honestly I am considering reading spoilers for the tapings. But I haven't yet.
 
Would be surprised and would not want Nakamura to go up.

who was it that the stupid announcer called "shades of" for? like austin aries was wrestling and the announcer said "shades of austin aries. who he is, so it's shades of himself!" stupidest fucking line ever and he made it worse.

I don't remember that one but it sounds familiar haha. Like a few weeks ago, some Sami Zayn match, SZ hit a Michinoku Driver and Cole yelled "Blue Thunder Bomb!" ... and then just like a minute later he hits an actual BTB, and Cole goes "Zayn with a traditional Blue Thunder Bomb" (or maybe I have the moves backwards there, same principle, he just wouldn't admit to his fuckup)

Since taping has aired yet and won't for a few weeks.
Yes, but no match. They were just there to talk. i.e. carry on the storyline between them, the new Authors of Pain tag team and the new champs. Regal announced that AA will get a 2 out of 3 falls match against The Revival coming up (likely at next Takeover) but then the Authors of Pain attacked them again. My kids were worn out so we didn't try to stay after ans wait to talk to them. Kinda wish we would have though cause word afterward was Daniel Bryan was back stage the whole taping.
 
@MadMardigain Well I'm not checking out the spoiler (at least probably not until at least the first ep has aired), but I'm glad you at least "sorta" got your AA fix.

Well in the context of actual spoilers it's not really any Earth shattering, match spoiling, event ruining stuff. But, I figured since it was at a taping I may as well be respectful enough to add the spoiler warning.
