It's prediction time! P-City baby, not to be confused with T-City or P-Diddy.
NXT Championship Saints vs Williams - Saints did something that Trick Willy could never do, and that's beat Oba Femi (where'd he go?). Sure, he couldn't actually hit his finisher on him, and I don't think he could hit it on Trick either. Dude, get a new finisher. Trick on the other hand just lost his TNA championship and is in a weird place - he's outgrown NXT, but I still don't think he's ready for a call up. End of the day I don't forsee them taking the belt off of Saints this fast unless they want him on the main roster (I'd trade him back to AEW strait up for Ricochet, or to TNA for Joe Hendry).
Pick - Ricky retains.
NXT Women's Championship Jacy vs Tatum - Tatum surprised everyone with winning the battle royal to become the #1 contender. That was a choice for sure. She's been around for a while in NXT now and really hasn't been pushed as a title (any title really) contender. She gets a decent reaction from the crowd and has really two storylines going - one with Lyra and one with the Culling. I see one, or maybe both coming into play here. For Jacy she's been booked as the disrespected champion. Nothing about her really screams champion, and even her faction (especially with new recruit Lainey Reid) don't come off as particularly threatening. It feels like they dropped the whole storyline of the groups infighting. Someone needs to get the belt off of Jacy ASAP, but is that Tatum?
Pick - Coinflip. I think Izzy counters the interference of either Fallon or Lainey, and Lyra takes out the other one. Winner and new champion Tatum Paxley.
Men's North American Championship Page vs Wagner III - I'm going to assume this is a no DQ match since it's being billed as a Day of the Dead match. I like the fact that they are giving AAA some shine on the NXT PLE's. I've only seen El Hijo del Dr Wagner Jr III a couple of times and haven't been super impressed. Granted, one of those times was against someone older than me. Who I have been impressed with is the greatest North American alive, Mr. Ethan Page. I don't think he's had a bad PLE match in NXT yet, and if so it sure as hell hasn't been recently. If this is no DQ I think it plays into his strengths beautifully.
Pick - 3 letters, one word, EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Women's NA Championship Zaria vs Monroe - Losing Sol in this match really sucks. I think she's probably the most talented women currently on the NXT roster, and her are they/aren't they breaking up storyline with Zaria has been good (I'd prefer they stay together as the women's division needs tag teams). Zaria hasn't really shown me a ton so far, but I think that's partially due to her pairing with Sol. She should be shown as an ass kicker and ruthless. Blake is still getting her feet wet in NXT, but she's finding her stride and showing a nasty side (insert joke here (insert another)). I think how this goes will depend on how serious the injury to Sol is. If it isn't too bad, I think Zaria wins to set up her not wanting to give up the title and we get the breakup with Sol. If it's bad, I think Blake wins.
Pick - I think it's bad - And NEW NA Champion, Blake Monroe.
NXT tag team Championship Hardys vs Dork State - I have no idea what they are doing with this match to be honest. Either way you have the broken (down) Hardy Boys vs Dead on Arrival State. Can we please bring Faxiom back?
Pick - Hardy Boys.
Je'Von/Slater vs Iguana/Parka - I'm expecting this to be match of the night. Je'Von and Slater are both insanely talented, Mr. Iguana is insanely over, and La Parka is La Parka. How many moves will be sold from La Yezca? ALL THE MOVES!
Pick - Je'Von and Slater.
