Merab is tough but he never hurts anyone too badly.

yup. its going to be very hard to beat him in the championship rounds (although omalley did get round 5 on him... but that was a completely different fight)
 
I think Makhachev has it made, plenty of money but Moicano can't afford to lose. Thing I don't like is that 90 year old RDA took down Moicano 5x and controlled him.
 
Umar lost a title fight, and hes young and will fight for the title again, dont know what you Conor avengers are celebrating

He can go back to being Kadyrov's lapdog and get mobilized to trascend into fertilizer.
Why did he even get a visa in the first place?

I guess your 're right, Khabib did it against strikers with zero grappling so this was much more impressive. Merab now has wins over 4 guys who have held the belt before and 1 undefeated Nurmagomedov.

Khabib's only wins over guys who held the belt were RDA who wasn't champ yet and alcoholic cokehead 145lber Conor. Merab>Khabib.

Definitely didn't smash, but calling it cardioed equally misrepresents what happened. Merab wore Umar out not just physically but more significantly mentally by matching his striking and beating him at wrestling Umar lost sight of a path to victory and motivation to keep pushing.
 
Merab has cardio we'll talk about for years. Even among the lighter weight divisions, his volume of 'go' in the championship rounds is something else.

Shout out to Merab for being a freak and backing his athleticism with skill. Cardio alone doesn't win that fight, he was good at literally everything we quantify in MMA.

Umar is a future world champion. He's not there today, but reasonably close. He's not yet marked 30 years of age - he will wear a belt within a few years time.

Fun fight, really enjoyed it.

Khabib also finished his opponents, had the 2nd most gnp in ufc history at the time, left his opponents bloody, actually secured take downs, controlled his opponents while constantly attacking, and didn't get scratched
