Nunes being ridiculous or reasonable?

Haha how old are you? They brought eyes to the sport, but from who? From people who only care to watch THEM fight. From people who only care for the WWE-style drama that doesn't belong in any actual professional sport. From people looking to see trash talkers and brawlers rather than professionals and skilled MMArtists. They may have brought a lot of money for the few PPV's they were in, but did they produce enough to break the necessary >$100m annual PROFIT needed to break even after WME went into debt purchasing the UFC?

Now, come back to me with PROOF that they brought some great new fanbase into the sport (or even just in the UFC) and how it's "good for the sport" before trying to say they brought "new eyeballs".
Stop crying

According to an article from January of this year:

" In an interview with Cari Champion, Nunes predicted she would stop competing "maybe in a couple fights -- three, two more."

Is it fair to say that announcing such an intention doesn't help motivate the UFC to invest heavily in promoting her?

And Amanda pulling out of UFC 213, with sinus problems, hours before it was scheduled to begin, surely doesn't motivate the company to invest heavily in promotion for her fights either.

That said, maybe if Amanda was blonde and cute the UFC would be more interested in promoting her. And I don't blame Amanda for wanting to maximize her earnings. But she hasn't been helping her case with these other issues.
