I think that actually gives credence to your suspicion. It all seems contrived, like he's trying out everything that is as outlandish as possible. Once the shock value of being pro Nazi wears off he's gotta shift to incest. He'll probably make a song about blowing a horse next, who knows...

His cousin is in prison. So I see one of two ways:

If he made it up then that should be considered attempted murder.

If it's true then none of the other inmates were surprised by that revelation.
