It's not the knockdowns.If those were 10-8 rounds then the first 2 rounds were also 10-8 rounds. This isn't boxing. A knock down is not a point. Robert Whittaker was putting up a reasonable fight in every round. He was never dominated for the majority of the rounds, he just got hurt.
You can't take a point every time someone is dropped or hurt. A 10-8 has to be more dominant than that. Whittaker was clearly dominating Yoel for the first 2 rounds. Did you see Yoels eye??

It's damn near finishing the fight.
Damage, impact and duration.
At no time did Whititaker have have Romero in a position where the fight could have been stopped. At no time did we see Romero hurt and turtling up.
Cool story though.
