He was never anywhere near as good as everyone hyped him to be. He doesn't have that impressive of a resume. He lost badly to Vitor. Vitor was great but he always choked against great great fighters. He didn't against Luke. I'm not bringing testosterone abuse into the equation because Vitor was not unbeatable at all.
He barely squeaked out the Chris fight no matter how you slice it. He looked so demoralized when Chris answered the bell after taking the initial beating. He just didn't look that impressive and it was obvious it wasn't the same Chris.
Luke is a very talented solid all around fighter. But he is far far from the best or new breed. He's a physical specimen for sure and he's got gifts but his chin is weak, his head movement is below average, his hands are not very sound, and he relies heavily on his fancy kicks.
The new trend is to anoint a new champion every time now as a 2 or 3 division threat and a new breed for he weight class. Happened with talk of Chris fighting Jon in NY and it happened with Luke saying he would go up to lhw. People buy this hype and it gets out of hand till their opponents have "no chance" according to the average sherdogger.
Luke claimed Anderson during his reign would have nothing for him. We all know very well how violent, lopsided, and fast Anderson would have finished Luke.
