Because Frankie got a title fight immediately after a loss and then a 2nd title shot after a 2nd consecutive loss in a weight division he hadn't even fought in.

I think he gets a rematch because he was winning that fight until Rockhold capitalized on a stupid move....did you hear the post fight interview w Rockhold about that spinning kick? He said, you cant try that shit on me...hehe and he is right...but Weidman will watch the fight and see what he did right and skip the "fancy" shit....body kicks followed by 2-3 punch combinations, which was what he had been doing and rockhold had no answer......that plus Serra gave Dana a handjob.

OP could have a point, but with the UFC's rematches going through the roof and the fact that there #2 contender got popped for roiding and the rest of the guys on the list are old... Theres not a lot of options out there IMO.
