Im not gonna lie, im rooting for Croatia because of CroCop.

Its the first time, I ever heard of croatia and Crocop was an execellent ambassador.

Also it would be awesome for a relatively unknown nation like croatia to win

Btw Im not just talking about how good their team is, Im talking about which nations are more known in the world.


Europe isnt the world....I bet you, most of the world wouldnt know croatia......most people know about england and france...maybe belgium gets close but even then croatia is more unknown.
 
idk fucking SHIT about soccer but I love a big sporting event and the worldcup brings the fan fare It's like a month long superbowl. I've actually been giving a couple of games a watch with my morning coffee next thing I know I'm mad invested in it. No idea whats going on but it seems like most sports where its 99% boring then 1% something really fucking entertaining happens. Salute to all you euro and wherever tf else people, soccer heads know how to put on a show.

"Relatively unknown" seems quite accurate. For sure football fans will know it, or MMA fans because of Crocop, but plenty of people, including casual sport fans, barely ever heard about those "new" countries that emerged after the balkan war or the fall of the USSR

Yugoslavia was a magnificent territory, with plenty of tourists, but during their internal war, it did Indeed become a nasty place, with people killing each other just because of ethnicity, and still today, there are are quite unsafe places because some ethnicities won't forget that early what the others did to them.

In Bosnia & Herzegovina, neighbours from Croatia, the bosnians complained about a Bruce Lee statue on the Herzegovina side that was facing their side, because they took it as provocation.
Seems people get easily triggered there.

Well the guys clearly a traitor. It’s England vs Croatia and the guy was born and raised in London England until age 6 or something. It should really be a no brainer.

yeah iirc it had a nasty civil war or something in the 80's or 90s? knew a bosnian lady once she made it sound pretty bleak but she immigrated to the US in the 90s. General consensus in the US seems to be that most former soviet countries are poverty stricken war torn ice desert vodka farms lol
 
Also rooting for Croatia, but most of all I do not want Belgium to win it. We lost 3 freaking finals and it can't be that they get it on their first try.

I think the winner of France-Belgium will win the tourney.
