not enough in multivitamin?

Why are people here taking zinc, magnesium, vitamin C AND multivitamins?
I got one bottle of a cheap multi and it has all those. Do we, athletes, need more than what is included in a regular multivitamin? If yes, why not pick a type of multivitamin with higher concentrations of vitamins/minerals?

bcuz usually multi's put in low-quality ingredients that aren't absorbed by the body.. they put it in there so they can list it on the label..

some examples are magnesium OXIDE.. that shit just gives u the runs if u take a lot of it.. magnesium aspartate or some chelated magnesium is better absorbed

and zinc monomethionine (opti-zinc) is the best form of zinc..
